So about Musketeer whose symbol still is in Marauders what happened too it?

I would like at least some closure here. Was MCH originally going to be the Musketeers class job anyway? Was Musketeer going to be its own job? I mean a little bit of closure at least I would be happy with hearing. Believe it or not the sign messes with my OCD.

I also thought this was the most relevant board because it sounds like it be a DPS not anything else.

The sign is easy too find and its inside the marauders guild in Limsa Lominsa on the right when coming in looks like Dual Pistols in a cross like the Marauders axes are hard too miss.

If things went as intended back in 1.X, Musketeer could've been a player class (along various other cut/repurposed classes).

But as things currently stand, it's an NPC-only "class" (in fact, there are various NPCs with exclusive classes/skills/etc. out there).
Merlwyb and Milala are Musketeers, for instance.

If it's any consolation, the Machinist job inherits a lot of techniques from it, thanks to Rostnsthal's tutelage.

I wish we got musketeer, we re missing a gunner job. current mch feels more like a gadgeteer. Unfortunately unless we ask for it i doubt theyll make it, since it got cancelled and all

Ah thanks for the info but I wish they could just remove the sign I guess? I don't recall another class that isn't used by players having been left over. Surely I won't be the only one who would ask this same question on the forums and want closure.

I personally would like Musketeer too as it could be different from Mechanist and maybe Musketeer can recycle Mechanists special ammunition mechanic into it too with its own little tricks.

They can't, because both: the Marauder guild and the Musketeer guild share the same building (check its basement).
It'd be weird/out of place if they removed its sign.

I did check the basement but it in itself is also outta place too. Why you think I stopped playing to ask this question?

Just to point it out the Rogues Guild placement makes the least sense on the map.

As I said, they share the same building, so it's not that out of place.
Think of it as being a part of the setting/lore (for "flavor", as it were).

That's the point: the Rogue guild is less of a formal/official guild, and more of an underground organization (enforcing the "code").
Hence the need of secrecy and inconspicuous appearance to the general public.

I respect them keeping the lore but I would also like Square Enix tell us what happened? It says on the web they were moved to the basement after 2.0 as if they had plans but nothing really came out of those plans.

Too be honest what you said about Rogues also makes sense but Maelstrom probably wouldn't care anyways because they started as pirates.

Maelstrom doesn't care, but the Yellowjackets do ... that's the whole point behind the 10-30 quest line for Rogues.

Serves me right for skipping it. I hope new game+ can be used for class and job quests in the future.
