Theory for Save the Queen (Spoilers)

So, a new primal was summoned at the end of the current Save the Queen, but there wasn't much information presented. She was simply referred to as the "Queen of Bozja." How do people feel about the possibility that the queen is going to revealed as/transform into Asura?

Well her name is Gunnhildr, as in Gunnhildr's blades, from which the term 'Gunblade' was derived.
Their roots are in entirely different mythologies... but I suppose it could happen.
Now I think of it, they could introduce a Brynhildr (from XIII) and maybe... Eirhildr (based on Eir just as Gunnhildr is based on Gunnr) and these three Valkyries could become the three faces of Asura.
It would take a long build up though. If Bozja gives us Gunnhildr, then we're not likely to get more than mere hints of the other two, and then eventually face Brynhildr sometime in 6.0 maybe. Eirhildr (or whatever they might call her) may or may not be an active primal in her own right (as the benevolent face of Asura).

Could potentially be the trial series for 6.0
    Gunnhildr
    Brynhildr
(Eirhildr as a solo duty or dungeon boss)
    Asura

I don't recall the being that was summoned actually referred to as "Gunnhildr". The text only referred to her as "Queen of Bozja." And seeing as there were already Gunbreaker's in the flashback, I was under the impression that Queen Gunnhildr was more of a legacy title.

Yes but it's the same case as Thordan.
There was a whole line of 'King Thordan's, and when the Archbishop became a Primal, the name of that Primal was 'King Thordan'.

The Roegadyn maid who took up the mantle of the Queen of Bozja would have also taken up the name Gunnhildr, as the name follows the position of Queen.

IIRC, the Field Notes names her Gunhildr, and as Seraphor mentions, if she ascended to the throne she would have taken the name of Gunhildr as well.

Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE for Asura to show up, especially with the whole "Queen of Blades" thing; but the name is Hindu while Bozjan naming conventions are Slavic. I'm sure Matusno, Koji Fox, and Oda could find a way to make her fit, though. (Rather, I hope they do)

Considering we're dealing with the IVth Legion here, Asura is definitely a possibility for her real name. Not to mention it fits her as a character, considering Asura in FFIV mostly just healed and buffed herself. Assuming they wish to do a fight similar to the FF4 one, expect her to be an add boss similar to Moogle Mog, where we must damage and defeat her Blades (tempered thralls) in order to open her up to attack. It's likely she'll counter if attacked directly, and can ONLY be damaged when her thralls are on the ground and she's attempting to heal them.

Also worth nothing that "Gunhildr" is more Norse than Slavic (though OTOH Eastern Europe would likely be a place where the Norse colonized anyway).

But I'm willing to bet that there are some Myths in the western half of Other that would connect to Gunnhildr in some way, and that Misija would likely try to summon and then fuse them Ratkapaska style to create Asura.

Asura would be an interesting Primal to fight. Being able to switch modes often, and hence group strategy would be both interesting, and frightening.

Given that Gunnhildr is the name of the primal and prefix "Gunn" means war in Germanic and Gunnhildr originates with a real life Queen, so we can call Gunnhildr the "Queen of War" and Bojza is a warzone so the association fits.

Asura would be nice to see (FFIV was my first Final Fantasy), but I don't think that is the plan for this primal.
