Update apartment please.

Please add more space in apartment, a basement or second floor and an outside like balcony or something to be able to cross breed and decorate more outside and inside.

Since getting a house is next to impossible and nothing is being done, give us more space to our apartments so it feels like a home too. I have a apartment and many others and everyone deserve a place like a house.

We can spend gils to add a second floor and an outside like an upgrade. And more can be added too.

P.s. also housing wards could become free company only and personal houses can become apartments but upgradable to make them like small, medium and large. No more not enough houses per population.

Here, here! I love this idea and I think if they never fix actual housing, have free company multi-floor apartments with balconies and outdoor or rooftop spaces as an option with instanced rooms for occupants.

I like the idea of expanding to include some of the functionality from houses in apartments. They are quite cramped and lack some important things, like gardening.

Adding floors with gil is also brilliant. Kind of like a penthouse set up or multi floor.

I'd love the idea of being able to upgrade your apartment even after you buy it. For example, it could start off with "studio" (one-room/floor apartment) as it is now at the cheapest price, then simulate the cottages, mediums, and mansions with every upgrade. An outdoor or indoor patio space dedicated to landscaping would be great, too. You could either start off with studio and upgrade, or you could start off with the mansion layout - whatever works for the individual. (Though, tbh, I also wouldn't mind if FCs could have apartments, too, if they implemented an updated apartment system to simulate housing.)

That being said, I kind of hope they upgrade the square footage and over all dimensions of the houses, too. Like the new housing skins seem SO TALL, but inside they're so not tall. So, like, another floor would be nice, too?


Aaaanddd... I don't want them to implement the whole "you must pay yo' sub every month in order to keep your apartment" like houses if they were to ever update apartments.

I'd totally be down for an instanced space like an atrium as well for gardening and perhaps even a very small pond-like area for casual fishing? Though, even just an atrium for gardening for apartments would be kinda gnarly.

I hope the restored ishgardian housing district will not be a usual plot and ward system form of housing, but will be the location for an instanced form of housing.

Should this instanced housing come to be like an apartment style, i hope it will be a really large area with a balcony, borrowing the design mechanic of the eulmore main aetherite lobby (where you have the tome exchange npc), anyways as it is right now an apartment room just borrows its design mechanic from an FC room or the other way around, so why not borrow the design mechanic of a really large instanced area and use it for improved apartments.

I agree that apartments are very limited. While I wouldn't add a basement because that wouldn't make any real sense, being able to upgrade the space and adding suggested features would likely make them a more desirable option among players desiring a personal housing space. Also, FC exclusive housing isn't a bad idea, though if such a system were to be implemented, I would suggest separating FC wards from private wards and restricting sales of larger plots to larger companies; it doesn't make much sense for medium and large FC plots to be owned by FCs with just the bare minimum of 4 members or in certain currently existing cases, a single member.

I mean they could flip it and add a second floor as a buy able option, since high-end apartments have them fairly frequently.
