- It's disabled because you are not meant to go there in the story yet. Your mount speed also drops to barely a sprint upgrade which makes flying painfully slow and you wouldn't get a speed boost until completing a certain quest on the map anyway.
- The avoiding combat as a reward design philosophy is still contradicted even if you can only avoid most of the mobs. I don't know what you're talking about by the way, I was leveled enough to not have to fight a single zone mob in the first zone I did at least.
- As I've stated in thread, there are many other ways to restrict area access without disabling an already unlocked feature and physically slowing the player down. This is still a redundancy.
