Question regarding castrum lacus latore boss #1

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer anywhere else.

So the first boss of castrum lacus. It's common knowledge that one boss will enrage if both are not engaged at the same time, however people seem completely split on whether or not both bosses have to be KILLED at the same time.

I am aware that once one boss dies, adds will spawn until the other dies, the raid wipes or the drill is destroyed, but is that a death sentence or just an annoyance?

In either case, it would be great to have a concrete answer to increase the success rate of castrum runs.

i mean logically if they are both killed at the same time you don't get any waves of mobs. ergo that's how it should be done, no?

Let's see. Most of the time people want them to die at the same time, because the waves of trash really start to add up, especially if you're running with minimal amount of people.

I've only experienced the bottom killing faster than the top. We go wave after wave of 5~ or so Sky Armors and then one Iron Giant. I believe the Giant does a devastating cleave, but on spawn it was hit with like 17 Death spells and fell over or something killed it extremely fast.

So no, you don't have to kill both bosses at the same time, but it's more survivable if you do. If either party wipes once the things have locked in, the bosses do a hard enrage and bombs start going off that deal 999,999 when they eventually hit you.

Both forms of enrage are technically soft enrages(the 999,999 bombs don't kill everyone at once) that can be circumvented either by killing the bosses shortly after the enrages happen or by overcoming them with sheer power/Lost Actions.

Short answer: no you dont have to kill them at the same time

Long answer: no cause the mobs dont become more and more and also they die easily, the only enrage existing is the 7-10 mins one that each have individualy. However people in bosja dont know that they simply assumed that you have to so now its the standard.

I've heard varying stories on whether it actually matters on when one is killed. We know that after enough time a golem add will spawn that can oneshot you, but I don't know if they spawn after a fixed period of time after the boss dies or just a fixed period of time into the fight. Either way, unless the groups are just horribly unevenly split or the DPS is bad, you should rarely ever see the golem because if it is the former option, you still have AGES to kill the other boss before the golem spawns.
