What should I know as MCH to help my team?

I went looking for guides, but the one on PVP Paissa references things that don't exist anymore, so I couldn't follow it much.

Basically what I've been doing is hitting the target that the other DPS calls out with my hardest-hitting abilities -- the anchor and the drill, and then following up with the DOT one, binding the healer or whoever when they try to run, using Tactician whenever it's up.

I took rejuvenate and bind as my two extra skills (cause it feels squishy and I don't like having to rely on those medkits because they NEVER pop when you mash the button). Plus rejuvenate clears the crud off of you if you're bound/gagged/etc.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else to do. Any pointers?

Don’t just blow your hardest hitting skills right away with no thought. Like PVE you have a rotation. If you want to secure any kills you’ll want to learn your skills and how best they fit together. Just go to wolves den pier, read your tooltips and give it some thought and try putting it all together on a striking dummy.

Head graze is amazing for helping your team secure a kill. Unlike PVE silence prevents almost all actions so if you see a healer at low hp, head graze them. They’ll likely get thrown off or panic and your team can burn them down.

Blank is also good for pushing retreating enemies back towards your team or off a cliff for an instant kill.

    What Cabalabob said..

Do you think putting the dot up that gives you a 10% dmg increase on the target after your highest potency skills is a good idea? It should be other way around if anything (feast isn't always the ideal scenario but this is theorizing level atm) And if you mean wildfire "dot", you want wildfire to explode not that late after the burst, maybe start using it 1-2s before the countdown ends already.

Why would you bind a healer? Do you think it will stop them from healing? They can heal without having to face the target. It is just useful to expose any targets in the open so they can't line of sight you quickly, or you can force a line of sight to their healer, or you use it to secure a melee or range lb on the target. If anything you would silence a healer, but often your healer will sleep him during the burst. Or use it defensively.

Why would you use tactician whenever its up? Only use it when it is needed, every burst of every class has indicator, some are really obvious and easy to tell (feint, phantom dart, midare cast, riddle of fire, drg tether, wildfire, inner release/chaos, requiescat, pld gapcloser, gnb lightning shot, draw and junction on gnb, trick attack, bunshin etc. ) You cant mitigate lb dmg though.

Recup is fine I guess but think about that potions will heal you more if you are really low. They sadly scale with how low your HP is.

Thank you both so much! I really appreciate your feedback! When I wrote the post, I was writing the skills from memory and I think I got them backwards as you noted, I start with the bioblaster to make them take 10% more damage, and then the anchor and drill. I tried swapping recuperate for concentration for that 50% more damage on the subsequent weaponskill, but it seemed like it didn't really do anything? Does it scale with HP of the other player or something I don't know about?

The reason I bind a healer is so they can't break line-of-sight. Not a good idea?

Yeah, the potions never seem to activate on time despite me mashing the button as my HP falls helplessly lol . Recuperate is my OHCRAP button when stunned/bound/tied/gagged/tarred/feathered.

Concentrate on Drill or Air Anchor should work, its 1000 extra potency, best noticed in a synced burst since it's instant damage. Use bind on the burst target almost always and if you are playing defensive like winning in the last minute use it to stop bursts syncing (effective on melee's other than drgs).

Potion timing sucks because of the ticks, I can't tell you how many times I've waited to be lower hp to pop it then die while it heals afterwards because damage is calculated first. It's unfortunately one of the goofy things of feast.

They should have made them recuperate charges if anything (instead of potions), by introducing them, they didn't acknowledge the lag and animation issues PvP already has(and about which people were already vocal about). If you press a potion you most likely gonna delay your next GCD and cant use another offglobal cooldown (like smite) quickly, that is the biggest trade off, as there are situations where you need to burst but also potion. It is just a mess.

1,000 x yes to recuperate charges. Leave the medkits for FL . SE do you see this? Oh who am I kidding... Seriously though that would make it so much better.

It's super annoying. Aside from taking like a full second to get the healing, it absolutely bungles all your other oGCDs.
