I have no issue with AV as I'll heal it with the idea in mind that when I'm leveling my alt jobs I'll get at least a tank or healer that can do the same.
On the other hand, Toto...
Probably a strange opinion, but can I block out the three leveling primal fights? They're quick, but they're just so boring. It feels like a waste of a queue when they pop up.
The point of roulettes is to fill slots for people trying to clear specific duties.
If you aren't willing to play any duty in a roulette then don't queue for it at all. You get the bonus for being flexible when the duty selected by it is cleared.
Aurum Vale isn't even difficult. If issues are arising with people not being able to clear it then it's just an indication that parts of the player base need to start figuring out how to get better at the game. The people aggro'ing the entire first room are probably the same people that complained about the exp loss in Eureka they experienced because they were constantly dying from aggro there when trying to do things alone.
oh my god i can't even naked queue to dodge aurum vale are you kidding me square?
Didnt they nerf aurum vale alot? + newer gear gains over the syns a bit?
I’m not sure how much it was nerfed besides the coin counter getting clearer aoe marks but by giving everyone a piece of loot from every dungeon and creating more loot sets, you generally get much better geared players.
I remember running AV with a tank with several pieces of mage gear. That shouldn’t really happen now.
I never understood the dislike of Aurum Vale. It's one of my favourite dungeons to this very day. Perhaps in no small part due to the lethal mechanics and dangerous environment.
C'mon FFXIV playerbase. Eat your broccoli with cheese sauce, so you can grow up big and strong. That's how I see Aurum Vale
Also it's been nerfed directly and indirectly over time.
First nerf would be, that nerf they did to the puddles and to goldblight, making them unable to kill SCH and SMN pets. Next nerf would be the addition of the Coincounter telegraphs.
Indirect nerfs include: Addition of new jobs with insanely high damage potencies, and then general potency increase for every job with each expansion that's come out. There was a time when DRG's strongest hit was 300 potency hahaha.
Now that we get guaranteed leveling gear from ARR dungeons, everyone should be up to par on gear for AV, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be, because there's no level sync req, so they aren't forced to equip shit. haha.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
