Harry Potter is a part of the fantasy genre, so it wouldn’t be that outlandish to have its author co-write some parts in Final Fantasy XIV. Doesn’t have to be anything big (this isn’t Harry Potter), but some English influence could be interesting for the game. Less catgirls, more schooling!

It's not the writing that needs a new crew, because SHB's story was amazing.
It's the lack of proper direction (and perhaps the higher ups interfering with how the game works) that needs some TLC.

Does she speak Japanese? It might not work well if she doesn't.

Actually, it doesn't even matter because I'm sure they have positions open, so if she's not hired, it's likely because she's not applying, which would make sense considering it's a Japanese company and she might not want to work in Japan.

Without getting too in-depth or critical about her writing. Sure, she's creative, and don't get me wrong I really love the HP universe. But she's equally very whimsical in ideas and it's very apparent in both character and world writing/development. Quite predictably so too, if you think about it hard enough.

Honestly, I don’t want any British or American writers touching this game, and I say that as an American. It would be generic and cliche and completely lack depth. And the characters would become stock.
