SE, where're the Viera?

This aint another tired "wah hair" thread.

Just wondering other than the new Ironworks employee, and the GNB job questline... where're all the Viera on the source? Yeah we got an entire village on the first, but like, where's the viera gold saucer worker? What about the southern front? Ishgard Restoration? etc.

Same reason you don't see any Miqo'te locals in the Far East, because people who don't live in a region tend not to have a population in that region. Viera aren't local to the playable zones on the Source.

We'll probably see more of them as the Southern Front gets new instances, since they're native to the Far East and the forests there.

I think the viera on the source are from places like ivalice, which is apparently apart of our world.

Viera, in-lore, are by-and-large isolationist. Rava Viera, in particular, have a law that forbids contact with the outside world on pain of exile. That's why we don't see many viera NPCs.

Much like the Au Ra in Heavensward, we'll probably see more of them (and Hrothgar) in the next expansion. It probably doesn't help that they were introduced just when we left the Source for a while, so there hasn't been much opportunity for them to appear.
