A request to the developers.... please make Job Quests mandatory!

Ok so backstory.

I was playing in Dohn Mehg the other day and there was this Astrologian. He had no sects on not Diurnal or Nocturnal so I calmly asked them "hey mate how come you don't have a sect on.... you get bonuses to certain spells by doing so".

Absolutely no vitriol or vileness in the question and then they proceeded to answer "I didn't do my job quests because I'm too lazy".

Is this really what we want to encourage to players/new players? Not doing job quests which for some jobs have very important skills gated behind them. That's why I'm asking for the developers to make each capped job quest aka 50, 60, 70 etc to be mandatory alongside each expansions final role quest.

I'm sorry but if players are "too lazy" to do them then they should be forced to. Especially when critical spells such as one of the arguably best abilities on Dark Knight is from one of them or some core mechanics of jobs such as White Mages Lillies.

Thank you for your time. And no I will not be "naming" people as that is completely unfair and I'm not here to start a witch hunt. Just tell an example based on experience.

As there isn't any major group content that it impacts.... except maybe fishing on a tiny level then w/e.

I was more referring to DoW/DoM jobs.

Agreed. Anything that unlocks key abilities should be mandatory by default in my opinion.

they already are essentially mandatory. doing top-level crafts without Manipulation is near enough to impossible as to be foolhardy to try without.

They are mandatory, because you'll be useless without them. Especially DoL Classes

I agree they should be mandatory, but how should they go about it? Disabling DF until you do them? Is that even something they can do?

Tie each expansions final job quest to the final dungeon of the respective expansion. If they could do it with at least 1 role quest (you need to complete 1 series to finish Shadowbringers) I'm sure they can tie the 50 one to Prae, 60 to ACRF and 70 to Ala Mhigo.
