-Dyeable version of 8 man raid gear, there is no way around not doing savage for this and for a good amount of people it is a good enough incentive.
-a weapon, yea normal doesn't even give you a weapon no need to make it glowy if there is only 1 version of it and that 1 version is savage only, if they did another release expect said release to be all look at me all sparkly and glowy.
-BiS gear for current tier and Ultimates, this is another incentive a lot of people are happy to go in for just so they can see numbers go up and booms become BOOMS!

Savage has plenty of incentives to go in for it already but I wouldn't say no to adding crafting drops to every fight in the tier that allows you to get a glowy form of the savage weapon just atm I think adding Primal Weapons to DNC and GNB are probably higher on their to do if we can spare time list than new savage glowy weapons a lot of people haven't actually been asking them for.

Also most Ultimate weapons are reskins, Rdm and Sam weapons for UcoB and UWU are the exceptions, that is why they are so glowy to try and set them apart from the thing they responded especially when it had a glow version already(looking at UWU weapons specifically here).
There a lot of reasons sure, but not enough compared to extreme mounts/shiny weapons. It's not that long to get (you don't alway need/want everything), so adding something else is not a crazy idea imo. On chaos not many players farm e1s>e4s even if it's easier than before.
As for making another crafting drop it's a good idea when i think more about it, but i don't think it's that great if only crafters and players with money get a nice looking weapon (or players with nice friends).
Crafters have special weapons, but players who don't want to craft just get nothing (it a good reason to start crafting sure but a lot of player just won't farm because of that). Let savage/extreme farmers have a nice weapon too (even if it's something different idk), something you don't get by paying or crafting. Another reason to go to savage because you don't have a choice. Mounts are here sure but it's quick when you find the group and the fun ends fast.
With sb & shb relics players HAVE to farm to get their weapon (same for ultimate weapons, you have to clear to get your trophey), cafting and money doesnt help. Extreme and Savage players (without crafters, good friends or money) don't have that.
Imagine having to clear extreme/savage with minimum ilvl several time in order to get the shiny weapon you want. Even if it's not as hard as a brand new raid, it's still better than always just getting unsynched destroy the raid and end it fast.
Edit : What i want to say is it's not like there's no reason to farm, but it's just not enough to get people play at that level more. Usually it's just not that long to get everything you want (the actual long part is finding players for old savage tiers).

I think there are two factors at play here but they both relate to glamour.

    1. Savage Gear. The Savage Gear is less glowy in comparison because the devs also seem to overvalue dyeability (considering unupgraded time gear and the first stage of relics are undyeable, Likewise most dungeon gear [Darkhold I think excluded] up to Sirensong is also undyeable), so they make the Savage gear dyeable to entice people to raid. The exceptions are the Weapons but that's because they were already exclusive to Savage to begin with). Ultimates MIGHT address it for the wepaons but only for one Tier and that's assuming they don't get passed over for the AF weapons.
    2. Regarding Primal weapons, there actually are two exceptions (Levi and Shiva) and they aren't dyeable but they do seem to an means for crafters and people doing the trials to get gil.

I'm generally not a fan of glowing weapons. They just rarely align to my tastes. However I'm not against the idea of alternate forms of more weapons that have glows and other similar effects. More options is always good.

No reason to ruin weapons' design with glow. Extreme weapons are fine, you have a choice what you want.

It's fine for you and many other players ofc, but it can get better for others. Whats wrong with more choice if it's possible ?
