After gamecrash character screen wont load properly

I am experiencing similar issues. The client crashed while I was in the wards checking my retainer and upon attempting to re-log in, I too noticed that at the character selection screen I was only able to see the spinning halo. My Character's name on the right side is visible but my actual character within the halo is not. Also I am unable to do anything at this point. I can click and click on my character name to attempt logging in but to no avail. I too am also on Balmung.

A restart of my computer and modem has allowed me to now see my character but I am now encountering Server Lobby error message:

13006 The lobby server has encountered an problem.
Error Code: 1014
Status 0

I'd like to know exactly what is going on as I'd love to be in game playing at the moment.
