a problem with ishgard restoration

I like to be there for ishgard restoration, I want to experience all the concerted works, to see every step of the reconstruciton process, but now that is no longer possible, I was out today and when I got home I foudn that the construction had moved onto the next step and I had missed the works, now I will never get to see what that involved, I have permemantly missed a piece of content jsut because I wasn't there for a particular period in time, should I have ignored my RL obligations to be there? Frankly I don't think this community effort thing is a good idea, it should have been a more personalised thing, with each player having their own progress.

People who start the game after the ishgard restoration is over will never get to experience it. and if you can't be the for a paticular time of day you will likely miss out on a part of the experience. I just hope we don't see something like this next expansion or at least make some significant changes. Maybe make it so these events always happen in the evening when most people will be able to do it. I likely wasn't the only one who missed out on this due to it happening in the middle of the day when a lot of people are at work or school.

Personally I'm fine with permanently missable events. That's the idea behind a living MMO.

Well I don't like the living MMO idea, it kinda sucks you'll never be able to play the season 1 content in GW2 now and for the later seasons you have to pay to access them. Living mmos are cool while they last but suck for ppl who arrive later.

You forgot the part where people miss out on the first few turn-ins because they couldn't find/see the supply piles or work sites.
