You wake up in Eorzea... What is your next step?

Probably wake up in Thanalan near Ul'dah. Likely Get abducted by the local ifrit cult and subsequently tempered when I go asking the locals around about stuff.

Get a job at the Miner's Guild and head out to Central Thanalan to mine some shards, sell em on the MB in Steps of Thal and buy some food and a cheap glam while I'm there.

After that I'd hang out with some lalafells at the Gold Saucer while we are playing triple triad, the night ends and I shake hands with my lala friends and say my goodbyes and then go back to Ul'dah and check in at the local inn at Steps of Nald and go to sleep.

I will maybe reproduce my debuts in the game, beginning as Conjurer, and doing Botanist work too.
I will find peaceful place in Gridania or in the Black Shroud and relax when I'am not doing a job.
And also will love to learn to cook and fish once arriving at Limsa Lominsa.

I'd first rejoice and thank the Twelve for finally freeing me from the hell-hole prison-planet that is Earth at this point in history.

I mostly joke, as there are friends and family here I'd miss and not want to worry about me, and also Eorzea is not a safe place for a level 1 character who hasn't even unlocked a single (relevant) job! But on the other hand, I feel a little like we're heading towards an Umbral Calamity of our own here in this world...

In all honesty, as an engineer, I'd probably try to find Cid as quickly as possible and join the Ironworks. (Look, my friend, magitek's great and all, but let me teach you about the wonderful possibilities of integrated circuitry...)
