We didn't get a lot this expansion, though I would argue they should have just added more floor to current dungeon rather than try recycle the experience again for level 80. Every expansion should at least try something new in terms of content rather than recycling old stuff with new levels. Shadowbringers improved a lot on older content formula's like FATE by adding gem currency, Bozja is an improvement over Eureka, Ishgard an advancement over Doma. But it also took things away too like job and class story lines. One big key feature was Trust System but do people actually want this or should they dumb it? It would have been a wonderful feature for new players running older content but I personally prefer to run new dungeon with other people.
That is interesting, I wonder if they put most of the focus on FFXVI so it would be on time. I'm okay with that.Note, this article was from February and SE had to go remote not long after that. We also know that recently SE's CEO came out and stated outright that COVID all but shut down their production pipeline on many games until they could adequately make their teams work remotely.

Even fishing is more entertaining than PoTD.
I'm glad we have Bozja instead.
Deep Dungeons are mostly used for leveling, the content in and of itself is straight forward and very simple. Sure, there are solo achievements, but those are incredibly rare and <0.1% of players have the Necromancer title (I think like a dozen people or so have soloed?) So we know the content isn't aimed at THEM. Bozja has mass appeal because it can be used for leveling like DDs can, but it offers a lot more. The bosses are more interesting and difficult than anything in DD, and the EXP is better and faster than what PoTD or HoH gave, where you didn't get your exp pay out until you cleared a boss on a 10 floor.
