    You can have snoozy Korean grindfests with no complaint from me when its design principles don't take over the expansion and edge out content that's actually fun.
    To be fair the relic grind was something that was never going to be cut. It's been a staple since ARR

    I can understand people's disappointment with no deep dungeon though. But with all the new content that was added - Ishgardian Restoration, Ocean Fishing, there's some kind of "ranch" going to be added soon, and also with the ARR revamp they kinda decided there was no time for Deep Dungeoning

    It was good to see crafters get some kind of rewarding gameplay though

    Is it really all that rewarding though? The expert recipes are nice since you actually need to know what you're doing and getting a title for your crafting efforts is cool...when it doesn't get overshadowed by 24/7 botters. 95% of the restoration however is spamming the same macro over and over ad infinitum, something crafters have been doing for years. Except that this time the crafting rework has made this gameplay not even all that profitable anymore.


    One of the main issues with not getting a deep dungeon is something people have been complaining about for a while now, a lack of challenging 4man/ light party content. It's completely fine to enjoy Bozja for what it is, challenging is not one of those things. It is content you grind with a large amount of other players, something that definitely has it's place in an mmo. It does however not replace the ONLY actually challenging small party content that is deep dungeons.


    None of the new content that was implemented with ShB has been remotely challenging and I can understand why, most people playing this game simply aren't looking for a challenge. But when the people who are looking for a bit of challenge lose what little content they could look forward to then their frustration is just as understandable.

    Potd, HoH were awesome, as well as Diadem, Eureka and Bozja.

    Actually, while I didn't really like any of those (expect perhaps the end of Eureka), I still think merging Bozja and the current expansion leveling that is usually part of Deep Dungeons is a cut on content. It's not the same kind of content. So I am wondering "why not both ?"

    I don't think Ishgard and the new Diadem come close in comparison to a Deep Dungeon. Sure it's nice to have a bit of love for Crafters and Gatherers, but it's mainly re-using assets of the existing game.

    Bozja content is better than Deep Dungeons because:

    1) Like DD, you are sync'd up to level 80, but you are given more than just trash mobs and nominal bosses to kill to test out your kit.
    2) You can progress a relic weapon (which is a shiny just like Deep Dungeon glow weapons)
    3) You can gain rare minions and mounts just like DD
    4) You get an actual interesting storyline
    5) Progress at your own pace without having to queue every 10 floors
    6) Actual progression system with Lost Actions, which make the combat more interesting than just 100 floors of the same trash.
    7) Bozja forces you to play your job well to qualify for 1v1s as opposed to mindless DD where, again, you're killing 3-5 mobs per floor and using teleporters.
    8) Culminates in a really cool final instance, which is more interesting than a reskinned Dungeon Boss with nominal mechanics because DD bosses need to take into account that your party finder may not have a tank or healer.
    9) Actually good music.
    10) Beating a 1v1 solo is a rare achievement, not unlike getting to floor 200 in a DD.

    2) you can progress potd weapon skins too, really shiny tbh
    3) ye so same
    4) same edda storyline was so deeply rooted in mainstory and all the involved npc from tam tara and tam tara hm, I enjoyed it way more
    especially the random NPC who died or were lost in subquests or even mainstory, who make a little speechbubble, are interesting
    5) I dont have to queue and wait if I go solo or as premade (the full experience)
    6) pomanders and buff/debuff floor systems are more interesting to me than actions that wont actually matter much how I clear content despise 1v1, pomander have a way bigger impact
    7)ye check out solo runs for potd, its more challenging than copying a guy beating the 1vs1 boss, same pattern= easy
    8)150+ floors are really beautiful too
    9) potd uses a lot of variation of music, some very rare songs like pvp ones, which you would never hear unless you do pvp; compared to 1 repeating zone song?
    10)necromancer is a rare achievement or lone hero in hoh, getting 200 clear as premade is also kinda hard; I also dont have to grind 20hrs to be able that the RNGgods bless me to get into a 1vs1

    Like everything you said can be viewed from a different perspective. It is your opinion ofc but it sounds like you wanted to generalize it "bozja better than potd" and I dont feel like that

    Let's be honest most floors of the Deep Dungeons aren't that difficult, mobs arent one shotting you and it's doable solo (with an achievement tied to clearing it solo)
