Do you feel like feast pvp streamers make pvp content worse?

Whenever I watch one of these... maybe excluding 1-2 players who hold high standing in the pvp community.... I find many just act as toxic as they do in game with their audience. They just jab at players they win/lose to the whole time or gossip. Do you think streaming feast is... beneficial to encouraging players to try feast? So far I don't but I'm open to opinions here.

Toxicity makes it look like that the person is knowing what he does, while the truth is even the best players can be wrong, especially if you don't rewatch matches and see every detail.
PvP and showing emotion goes hand in hand though, as in every other game - and it's not that unpopular in streaming. Even the most calm ones will eventually rage about very obvious mistakes e.g. never using a Limit Break.
With that said, blaming others is just very common in PvP after a match, as some players will not accept that they themselves performed poorly. Personally, you just have to try to be smart about it, look at the critics and see if there is something right about it, if you found out they are baseless, just ignore them. Generally speaking, it wouldn't be beneficial to Feast if there is no drama or rage ever either, it makes PvP more interesting - the struggle to improve and work as a team can be difficult to achieve after all and it is only natural that perspectives will clash.
One of the nicest streamers on EU side were probably WhiteWhite or Tarutella, funnily they are/were both healers and often blame themselves despise being r1 players and not really having to take shit from anyone. That shows true quality.
But yes, it would make PvP content worse if its the streamers whole attention to call out people, there has to be a bit balance. This game has just a small PvP scene, we are watching what we get basically...

From what i have, sadly, experienced is that once nice people became.... not so nice anymore after achieving, or rather, grinding, certain Ranks. People i knew from the earlierst seasons cant be bothered to say hi anymore or anything really.
People often Claim that the Community in FFXIV is so nice and all, the reality is that they just dont express their "true Feelings" openly in Game since SE is quick to punish. Dont you dare being on one of the bigger Discords.... there, they show their True colors
I guess the same is correct for Streamers. They expose themselves in a way by streaming and try to fortify their position by acting like a Rank 1 WoW Gladiator Championship Winner.

That said, no. I do not think Streaming is helping in any way. Just as all those seemingly nice and Helpful discords that try to get you in so their owners can tell everyone what a big community they have. Many people claim to be wanting to help new players, in truth they just want more people they can bash behind their backs. Now i know that all sounds very Fatalistic and negative, BUT there are actual nice people. Usually those who keep more to themselves, those who do not boast about their Ranks and achievements, those are the nice ones.

The audience for feast streams are the streamers friends and the people in queue. I wouldn't worry too much about them.

In EU light DC there was a tournament that was hosted which had around 150+ viewers and peaked to nearly 200 iirc which, even I was surprised.
Regular streams seem avg around 20 as you said while Brian's stream hits for 60 since he covers all dcs and runs other pvp content.

I personally think it's a mixed bag because there is players out there who maintain a positive attitude and help others but at the same time you have other players who are more realists in the moment and get frustrated and let it out which isn't exactly a bad thing unless its witch-hunt territory. PvP inherently gets heated sometimes because of its competitive nature and nobody likes to lose at the end of the day. (Especially in this mode where you can lose because of someone else who is new or simply trolls which is an issue in itself.)

Do people outside of the streamer's buddies actually watch these streams though? Are they actually teaching anything or just bashing other players? I'd imagine that would get really old really quick.

With the Feasts lack of audience / relevance most are just sharing their games for the community without having any high goals on making a living as an famous streamer. So i would't see them as "streamers" more like people that just share their games to either give help to others or to get some advice. In some feast communitys there are a lot of private discord streams where people hang around while waiting for their pop. As those matches can be extremly stressful and players are under high tension they react directly on whats happening. This could be a slight mistake but also a major one like tanks that ignore medals in plat games. Bad callouts. First time healers...

But to turn this around: There are plenty high rank players spending a lot of effort in helping others. Even those you may heard are toxic. Somtimes its just worth to catch up with them. It certainly counts not for everyone but there is a lot interest to make the community bigger and better.

But yeah, it always depends on the DC

Tbh if you get coached as a already good player by another good player, just to gain an advantage to make quicker decisions and to see stuff that wasn't so obvious; or you even go on voicechat together in a solo ranked matched, I would call it cheating probably.
I've had people tell me stuff about a game they weren't even in, because they watched and "helped" another diamond player. Didn't know everyone needs a babysitter now.

I’ve only encountered one streamer while playing pvp and he was very nice.
I even hopped over to his world to cheer him on. Wonder if he remembers me lol
