While most people instantly think "change something about the game." No. A lot of us have our own grievances, as does every one.

But if you were approached, not to change, but to add. A permanent fixture in the game, a snippet of story or dialogue, a building or land mark, an NPC or action. A raid or dungeon - hell even a housing district.

It could be as grand as new alliance raid or as simple as a piece of dialogue spewn about by a random npc.

What ever it is you want to add, but you CANNOT change anything. Not even to make it better (or arguably worse)

Imagine if square gave you access to all that there is and said "Go forth and add something" with no limitations, other then "It cannot be an expansion."

What would you create? How do you think the community would react to your creation? And most of all: Why did you create it?

I would create a way where you could reset a job. For example, maybe you were leveling a black mage and got it to level 25 and took two years off from it (hi crafting classes). I would reset the job, yes I would have to relevel, the down side but I could then relearn the mechanics - I learn by doing, not by watching.

This would not fundamentally change jobs. It would strip you of all stats and levels for for that job, right back to level one and maybe teleport you to, or tell you to go, your (base) jobs "teacher".

I think the community would have mixed feelings on this. Why do this when you can watch YouTube. I find the tutorials for a new class, what ever it is, more helpful then random bob on the internet who wants to talk high level rotations.

As for why? Already said it, twice.

Why don't you go back to you're beloved WOW and darkness and leave us, the real people, the real MMO, behind to enjoy our well crafted, well told story with relatively balanced mechanics and challenging fights. And you can go play in the mud that is the failing and epically spiraling out of control company Blizzard. Oh what's that? I hear you're moms microwave go off, best to run along now, the basement stairs are gonna be a long trek for you to get those pizza pops. I'd add in complex 4 man dungeons with 6~12 bosses, along with a questline revolving around them. The dungeon trash would be difficult too. Call it, "Brutal Roulette" once you've done'em all. It'd reward you with gear 5 ilvls lower than Savage, and if you completed the roulette, it'd reward you 450 <insert current weekly capped tome here> along with 900 of the other two, and 50,000 gil. It'd also reward weapons 5 ilvls lower as well, once a week.

It'd have some difficulty limitations.

One raise allowed per player per boss, and you gain up to 6, one for every boss defeated. Wiping doesn't fail the duty, but your raises are kept separate from dying and returning.

Two hour time limit.

In the 12 boss ones, every boss from 7 and onwards will add 10 minutes to the instance timer.

The boss arenas don't seal. This means you have total freedom inside, for weal or for woe. Though for some bosses, they may gain an insanely powerful buff if taken out of their arena. Also, depending on dungeon design, there may be no way to leave their arena once you are in combat inside.

Titles and a Mount for enough completions of both the dungeons themselves and the roulette.

I would create a city the size of Ishgard, but it would basically be Gold Saucer 2.0. Just a massive amusement/entertainment area with tons and tons of games with great rewards and overall lots of fun activities. Playable and complex Blitzball would be the center-piece of this city.

I guess a thought I'd been entertaining in the back of my mind was home towns/villages. Ones where the same races dwell, like a point of origin. Married PC's could have a child and raise it to be a retainer like function, like proud parents seeing them grow and accomplish things. While at the same time being in a community setting among your starting race, possibly even have a flashback mini quest series about how your toon came to set off into his/her journey.

Something cute...funny...tragic...even drama filled.

Using the current minions, creating a new mini duel game based on the Tactics advance series (probably with shorter battle).

Making Unreal dungeon using 5-6 non-MSQ dungeon where the trash mobs are more a keen to Mask Carnival and where the players get access to some kind of lost actions. The party will need to bring the correct actions and work together to clear. Also the dungeon will have a little bit of randomness in term of which thrash spawn and which event trigger.

I would love to see what the rooms look like should they add them to the Golden saucer.

I think there is a game called Vermillion something in the golden saucer where you can use minions to battle. That suggestion also made me wonder how cool it would be if summoners and scholars could use their minions for their job pets (heals/dps)
