I know it's about weapon poses. It's the same ball of wax. Pose, emotes, hempen sets, generic gear for all the refrain from a group on the forum has been asking for these for years. They aren't getting attention from the developers and I'm sure it's because there are many of us who do not want to see these homongenized like some do nor do the developers want to see it done. Male and female poses, emotes etc should be different and I'm personally opposed to changing that. You're entitled to your view but so am I.

Nothing wrong with adding more poses or making them less inclusive. I actually quite like the female dragoon pose and would like to use it. ~

Except the devs have addressed the hempen sets before, albeit through a horribly mistranslated question. But that's still not what this thread is about. This one is about the poses, no matter if you think it's the "same ball of wax" as the other things you mentioned.

I can understand each gender/race having gear exclusive to them (although Viera kinda threw a wrench in that one, with the hempen top), and people being opposed to having that changed. What puzzles me is that you think holding a weapon at a slightly different angle should be limited by gender.

A emote is not a pose , stop being a karen.

LOL that's your response I'm a Karen. That pretty typical of someone not willing to deal with people with other opinions. Get over yourself you're not the litmus test for how this topic is responded to. I've made it pretty clear about HOW I FEEL about the subject. Not going to deal with people like you who prefer to shut down other points of view. Live with it the world doesn't revolve around you.

Your opinion about it don't make sense just like this restriction. You have no valid reason to be against it.

We see it in cinematics and it's even in the Shadowbringers' logo! Yet only a portion of the players gets access to it. So once again, just give both genders both poses. Please.
All winners, eh? I beg to differ. I say everyone loses. Anytime the dev team goes back to rework content like this, which is entirely QoL; what suffers is the content that is playable. Dev time and resources are finite. While how they have chosen to allocate these resources at times is very questionable, that doesn't mean that we as a playerbase should condone or support those decisions.

Bozja as an example seems like it was nowhere near as complete as they would have liked it to be prior to releasing this content. I say this because while many players feel it has improved over Eureka, it is clear as day that there are tons of issues with it. Many of these issues I am sure they were aware of before releasing 5.35, but they have a deadline, and they had to deliver. Now go over and take a peek at the BSF feedback thread that continues to grow as I type this. Everyone in BSF is suffering from something that needs to be addressed.

When things like this happen, it is beyond easy for me to point fingers at things such as flying in ARR, adding the telegraphs to Coincounter in AV, and even Viera and Hrothgar.

Considering how long ago they added new idle poses (not emotes) last time, seeing them unlocked would be nice, really. Will actually add more diversity too, as people will be able to choose from a wider variety of options. It sadly probably won't happen as they usually prefer to, understandably, do new things instead of going back, but if it ever does - I'm all up for it.

Please read my comment again: if the majority of the FFXIV community wants to see this change I think it should happen in this case. "If" as in seeing the result of this petition, and "in this case" referring to just changing the poses. Not the rest that you mentioned. That's all I'm implying and I think it would make a lot of people happy

I understand that dev time and resources are finite, but that's one of the reasons why I think this change isn't out of the question. Obviously, I don't know what the back-end of the game looks like but the poses are already in the game. I think it's safe to assume that this change won't take a lot of resources but will be appreciated by a lot of people. Should be a good rate of return, if you will Should that make this change a priority? Probably not. And I know the chances of it happening are small. I just wanted to see if a petition could get some attention to it. Because I hope it will be implemented someday.
