Those of you getting excited should realize that some of these 'men' are scrawny catboys without shirts. But yeah, they somehow have six packs because game not real life.

everyone has a six pack, but body fat mostly determines visibility, followed by how developed the muscles are. most skinny guys w/o belly fat, tend to have a slightly visible 6 pack. with only 2 guys i know, who oddly have a more developed six pack, despite sitting around watching TV all day, and having no real physical activities to do during the day.
the guys with even the slightest amount of belly fat, pretty much have their stomach smoothed out, hiding their stomach muscles completely by that thin layer of fat.

Also while we are on the topic of shirtless men, somebody pointed out to me that this game doesn't seem to have nipples and now somehow I can't unsee that which is absent.

I mean... it's there, in a way, but has no texture. You can see nipples on male bodies under right angles tho.

Excuse me, but male Miqo'te have pretty much one of the best proportions in the game. XD Also, scrawny...? Did you see their backs? And then again even lore wise most of them are naturally good at hunting, for which you don't need to be as big as Highlanders are, but you will have some muscles nevertheless.

Their fingers is the only thing that bugs me since 2014 when I started to play. Fortunately they aren't in this position when running and using non-default idle poses, at the very least. I wonder what inspired them to create their hands this way though... cuz unless it's a depiction of "ye their fingers are more flexible" there's no any other reason I can think of, and even this one is like... more just an assumption rather than something what's mentioned in the lore (because it wasn't, as far as I remember).

That's me on so many levels that I feel almost personally attacked. XD I do like to do shirtless glamours occasionally though.

Whats funny to me, is the number of pants on guys that are low rise, but the moment they touch a female model, they instantly transform into high rise.
As far as I can tell, only the starting gear doesnt do this (even when it actually should be mid/high rise on some pieces, ironically enough)
I'll admit I havent checked every armor in the game, but I gave up pretty quickly after looking for a long while one day. Every so often I may check a new pair of pants after an expansion/patch, but I'll admit there might be a pair out there somewhere. (Same with shorts)

IM not suggesting to get rid of it or anything, Im all for having options! I just dislike it when theres an overwhelming one sided amount of one thing, and little to none of another. An example being Tera, where every outfit is gaudy bikini armor. Im all for bikini armor, but i also like normal armor too! It would have been nice to have both, and not just one. In some other MMOs, they have normal armor, but no over the top armors, or bikini armors. Again, a bit of both would be nice. But in this case, FFXIV has plenty of high rise, but very little mid rise, and almost no low rise. (I know its not the bikini armor argument, and one could argue theres actually very few bikini armors in the game, but SE does make plenty of cloth based "bikini like" outfits, so its just an issue of forgetting, mixed with their personal art style, and it probably just doesnt come up in the design phase. I doubt its all that intentional)
