Huge lag spikes in instance dungeons

I'm a relatively new player, but I'm having a similar experience as other folks with huge lag spike and hanging actions, mostly in dungeons. I've done three story dungeons so far Sastasha, Tam-Tara, and Copperbell, and had issues on each one. Suddenly everything stops updating for anywhere from 10 seconds to over a minute.

I'm playing on Windows on Diabolos server, in NA on a wired fiber optic gigabit. There's largely nothing else using my connection, and there should be no issue with connectivity on my side.

Logs from Router don't show me any Problem at my side. Every other game is fine...
looks like bad routing or something like that

Same here! It’s been this way since 5.35 hotfixes from last week. I am on ps4 with a wired connection. Same with lag spikes in instances content, especially with the leveling/story dungeons.
Checked with my ISP, even managed to get them to send a replacement router and have triple checked everything on my end. Only issue seems to be on FFXIV

Routing from the game’s side? I know virtually nothing about programming and all that. No idea what any of that that you posted means

I followed up the way from my Computer to the gameserver.
The gameserver ist located in Frankfurt afaik....i am living 20km next to Frankfurt.

And like you see at the screens one hop of the way to the Server has a huge latency. It is not everytime...but it is enough to have lags ingame

Ah ok. That’s been how the lag has happened. It’s not all of the time, it seems to pop up every so often. Some times it’s not so bad others it causes freezes to upwards of a whole minute. Hopefully the hot fixes help?

Good afternoon and thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

For any one still experiencing this issue, please try the following trouble shooting:

The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

-Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN Browser. This can be done by going to the web browser on the PS4, press the options button, then go to settings. The options for Cookies and Javascript will most likely be checked, uncheck them and then recheck them.
-Reset your router by turning it off for a few minutes, then back on
    - Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV (you can temporarily disable them while you try to connect as well).
-Make sure to use a wired Ethernet connection as opposed to wireless
    - Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that they have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
Your ISP can open these ports for you.

You might want to check if the following port ranges are open in your router. You can contact your ISP and request that they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Did you read the posts above?

It seems to be a routing problem...so all the actions you say do not make any sense..
