I agree, something like this would bring a world of a difference to the way cities feel.

i think that design was way too hard for any pc to handle back then but i think its possible now.
i knew from the day i saw that vid it was "ffxi-2" lol
That's not true, well maybe with you it is
@ bobbygunz if I felt that I hated Limsa so much as to wish it gone I would simply say so, It's not like I have to hide my opinion around here is it ?
Maybe 2.0 will look like this with new maps and locales.

Carline canopy is a bad example to use, since I'm assuming you are talking about it's stained glass windows. Such windows in real life can't be seen through either, they're more about using light in a decorative fashion.
Some examples ranging from classic to modern can be found here:

So, I should shoot you? No thx I don't use guns
Im not like the other meanies on this thread I dont mind if you disrespect me because I know that your scared and all alone in life, so feel free, while you do that ill go do something else and you can continue living in your world.
Let's not get this closed because of childish disagreements, please.
I don't want to have to make another one and explain in the opener why it got closed last time..
Edited because this is inaccurate:While not really glass with transparency, you can actually see the bright glare of the sun moving outside the big glass window if you are in one of Limsa Lominsa's Inn Rooms during the morning hours.
It hints that things are still going on outside... but it would be wonderful if we could actually gaze out the picture window and watch people moving around the city below. ^^

And not just like a pre made little movie for when your looking out a window like some games have, actually be able to see actual ppl and npcs that are in the game and what they are currently really doing? They did that in FFXI in sandoria in the clock tower, although there was no windows that needed transparency. but still that would be cool
