I'm seeing people make these wonderful fake windows with ocean views.
I've been trying to make something similar for a long time, but I'm stumped. Can someone please explain to me how this illusion works?
Sorry the pics are so big.

Not sure if I'm even allowed to post Discord server links or not.. so if not mods feel free to delete this. XDDD But there are a couple different housing discord communities with dedicated subsections about decorating. Many people ask about how something was done, and the veterans of decorating are amazing at figuring it out. O_O I'm quite impressed by them. They can just go "Oh, that's this item and this item put with that item on top this way." Like it's nothing. They just KNOW what items they are, sometimes just by the grain of the wood! It's insane.

Those are my top 3 favorites in terms of decorating. The last one is more dedicated to decorating that other housing aspects, but they all have stuff for decorating.
A lot of it is glitching items to float and clip into upper or lower floors. This can take up many slots or make those clipped rooms with partitions sticking out of them unusable. There are many videos on how to float furniture and such you can find. Learning that is half the battle.
The second pic is using White Screens for the water (you can see the curve against the wall on the left) and Stage Panels for the sky. I'm currently using this in my own house so it looks like my Namazu vendors are treading water.
First one is a guess on my part but looks like they floated Combed Wool Rugs and Chirugeon's Curtains, hiding the stripes on the curtains below the rugs and the metal rod at the top through the camera angle or possibly other floated Log Partitions since they used that in the front. The Combed Wool Rugs aren't bumpy enough on their own to create noticeable waves if placed against something like a Stage Panel. Gpose lighting and/or distance could have removed any shadows the curtains would normally have.
Don't get upset if you can't replicate the looks you see in Housing Snap. A lot of those are made specifically to create a visual illusion that can only be seen from a specific angle. If you were actually in the house, it would look quite different unless you were at that certain angle.

@SSakuras
Thanks for the links.
These will really help me on my personal housing adventures~~
@Arazehl
Oh boy... I hadn't even considered that.
I'm working on an FC room now so I wasn't even in the headspace of "float something up to a higher level."
@Jojoya
Helpful as always ♡
Those are some interesting breakdowns. I'll see what I can't get away with, or at the very least use as a starting point.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
