5.35 - Duty Finder Extremely Delayed

Right now, while at Role Waiting List Number: #1 position, I'm experiencing 60 to 200 minute waits for Duty Roulettes of all varieties. Doesn't matter whether I que as tank or DPS. This delay never occurred before latest patch. Anyone else experiencing the same?

It's early in the morning on a weekday. It's not exactly peak hours.

There are multiple factors:

1. Time you are playing. At early afternoon or dead nighttime there will be less people on. Some roulettes don't pop at all during these times. Weekdays is slower because people are busy.
2. Patch 5.35 introduced Bozja Front - which drew most of the current players into Bozja to try current content.
3. Relic Farming for the current patch. Whether it's in HW or in Bozja, people are pretty much not in the queue.
4. The number of DPS and tanks cannot compare with the minimal number of healers in the game. Even if there are more DPS and tanks to replace the ones that left to go to Bozja, that cannot be said for healers since the healer role is currently the least desirable role for DF in general due to its monotony. Personally, healing in Bozja feels better since you have a lot more unpredictability.
5. Content level. Higher level content will have less players because not all players have unlocked said content. This is especially true for something like Seat of Sacrifice (Trial for patch 5.3). If you queue into this at nighttime, you'll probably stay in that queue for 3 hours or so until people wake up.


6. Quality of players in DF have been declining drastically. An anecdotal bonus (so take this with a grain of salt or just being unlucky) - I've been seeing a lot of subpar players in DF as of late, probably because the vast majority of the competent players went into Bozja for current content. Usually, this isn't a huge issue because there would be enough good players to offset/finish the run, but lv 80 players and lv 80 roulettes has shown a huge decline in quality of the runs as well, much more than normal. It doesn't feel good to be the only one who gets things done and everyone just puts as minimal effort to clear or fails at it entirely and puts more burden on someone else. After 4-5 consecutive terrible experiences in DF with players showing no remorse/no attempt to improve/rude remarks about doing your job when they failed theirs, I've been avoiding it as much as possible, going in it with a premade group, or just do Bozja instead. I'm sure some people who ran into the same experience feel the same way about the DF lately and have been avoiding it in favor of something else too.

200 minute waiting times at #1 position for standard Roulettes sounds like a bug tbh, regardless of time or Bozja. Do you actually get in eventually or just give up?

Check your language settings. The more you enable, the longer it takes or something iirc.

If it's frozen on "Reserving Instance" that's a server issue, meaning something's gone wrong. Most commonly if you've queued for Amdapor Keep, and the bots are currently swarming it.

Just stuck on number 1 forever usually means you're just queuing for something unpopular. Like any form of PvP, except Frontlines during prime time. Or trying to queue an Extreme trial in Duty Finder.
Or really, anything but Bozja and level60 dungeons this week - but that alone wouldn't account for 60+ minutes.

What are you queuing for? Being at #1 for that long does seem a bit unusual, unless it's something unpopular or something Aether usually does in PF.
