A bit of a rant about Make It Rain and All Saints Wake

I liked the cutscenes with the NPCs, and what they would like in the Gold Saucer. Other than that, the event was quite lackluster - which wasn't really a surprise. But why didn't we at least get one or two Halloween items? They could have given us some recolored stuff or so, or last year's items as an excuse for not having All Saints' Wake. Or give us the Rainmaker hair for free as compensation. I got it a few years ago, but many players didn't or are too new to have bought it.

Maybe I didn't find it, but are the Gold Saucer mounts even on sale? I only found the glamour items. I don't get how we don't get anything as a bonus at least for cancelling Halloween...

It's great that the devs work so hard even during corona, and I'm thankful for that, but some extra items couldn't have been THAT hard.

Hmmm FF11 is pretty much dead and only has baby updates anyway. So it's understandable that it doesn't miss a beat. All the updates are from the smallest team ever. Not a fair to XIV to compare it to it's barely on life older brother. And Wow has alot of other issues then being delayed a simple 2 weeks. So ye--ah those two examples aren't really doing you any favors to throw hate and anger at SE.

FF11 is getting new story content. Sure, it gets smaller updates, but it's not like the game is on life support like you claim.

Guess it was a bit wrongly stated by me. Of course they have some standard but we have no idea what they are. I mean they have no problems releasing at least systems that are not fully worked out at that time (see glamour wardrobe that they released and said that we might get it in our own houses later). So we simply dont know what standard check they have.

This right here actually kind of hurt heh. XI as far as I know has a smaller team now, still getting updates (even minor ones) but they still get a event and new item? Nothing against the XIV community but they would have settled for some weird subligar.. least from what I've seen anyway. Now I don't know if the event is a rehash of previous years ... but least it was still something.

Even WoW didn't really have anything new this year that I heard of from friends, but they still had an event at least.

I dunno I feel like the team for XIV half listens but doesn't? At the very least it feels lazy on their part given the sheer amount of threads complaining about the Front from this current patch and even talking about the decline in story telling for the current patch. But ether way you cannot tell me that they couldn't have slapped the previous Make it Rain rewards back on a vendor ... it makes no difference if they did or not to me as I have the hair, but I've watched for the last few years people beg for it to return.

look it's all a matter of resource time allotment. covid troubles ate up that time slotted to the work time for the halloween event. to keep everything else running on time it was dropped. simple as that. it's a logical fallacy to just say "well this other game did this, why can't XIV?" Stop deluding yourselves, people.
