A bit of a rant about Make It Rain and All Saints Wake

I completely agree. Its funny how they use the pandemic as an excuse for no halloween event yet every other game who also had dev shut downs at teh same time as the FF14 devs, was able to put on a halloween event. And this craptacular Make it rain event is just that...crap. Its catered mainly to Gold Saucer addicts. This is by far the worst event i have experienced since starting.

Even Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 launched their annual halloween event WITH new and old content.

Eh, it's a fair comparison to make.

FFXIV is the only major MMO, that I know of, that hasn't managed to piece together a Halloween event this time around. I think it's fair, then, for people to express concern.

they gave the reason why they couldn't do halloween. covid happened. halloween programming time allocation got ate up by the forced time off and the transitioning period going from office to remote work. they weren't willing to delay things just to put it back into the programming schedule. simple as that. i guarantee you 5.3 would have been delayed more if they hadn't cut things out and 5.4 wouldn't be happening until January 2021.

People constantly making the covid excuse for SE. They have people clamoring for the FF15 event to come back and they can't add it back? If you don't have time recycle some old events back in. Probably cause they would prefer the car to go to the cash shop. Cause things on the cash shop wouldn't be in the game without the cash shop. Two separate things obviously. They don't want to put anything back into the game that is old cause they could sell it. Why don't you think they recycle old events items back into the game. To sell them and we support it and white knight them. Low content or lack thereof, give them a break it was covid-19, cute outfit or awesome mount on the cash shop, that is another company SE doesn't do that. Come on man. Buy the Game, Buy the Expac, Pay monthly fee, and support cash shop. Gimme gimme gimme.

World of Warcraft, to my knowledge is only seeing a minor delay in their expansion. (2 weeks?)

The WoW expansion is being delayed because it's got a lot of bugs, but its also delayed because XIV got delayed, because Blizzard is hilariously unsubtle about their release strategy, which is "Wait for XIV patch date to be announced, then announce theirs to be on the same day"

So during the next live letter we'll get the release date for 5.4, then you know the day Shadowlands is going to be released as well because lol Blizzard gonna Blizzard.

lol... They brought a gold saucer event with directing 4 npc to attractions and called that an event with 3 new items! wow! They are killing it! They could have brought it back already. Yes they have brought back yokai a cross over, but what about their old events that they actually did they included mounts/minions/orch rolls. Where are those. Why can't those be recyled back in the game for new and old players. Also he said maybe on FF15 if we can make room with all the events that they already had planned. Your right great job SE keep it up.
