A bit of a rant about Make It Rain and All Saints Wake

Hmmm FF11 is pretty much dead and only has baby updates anyway. So it's understandable that it doesn't miss a beat. All the updates are from the smallest team ever. Not a fair to XIV to compare it to it's barely on life older brother. And Wow has alot of other issues then being delayed a simple 2 weeks. So ye--ah those two examples aren't really doing you any favors to throw hate and anger at SE.

FF11 is getting new story content. Sure, it gets smaller updates, but it's not like the game is on life support like you claim.

World of Warcraft, to my knowledge is only seeing a minor delay in their expansion. (2 weeks?)

The WoW expansion is being delayed because it's got a lot of bugs, but its also delayed because XIV got delayed, because Blizzard is hilariously unsubtle about their release strategy, which is "Wait for XIV patch date to be announced, then announce theirs to be on the same day"

So during the next live letter we'll get the release date for 5.4, then you know the day Shadowlands is going to be released as well because lol Blizzard gonna Blizzard.

I'm actually glad the rainmaker hairstyle hasn't made a return. One of the few event items that's actually exclusive feeling and something you had to be there for.

They could've given rewards from last event, perhaps? Or maybe try to listen to their playerbase asking for a hair for years. I can't see how this is a big effort, tbh.

I mean, the hairs in the game... making it available cant be that difficult surely? I don't know how these things all work under the hood but that can't be much of a task?

They warned there won't be Halloween even this year back in July, so in this regard I didn't except anything to begin with.

I really don't get why the Rainmaker haircut is still not repeated nor in the event that happens annually nor even in the Mog Station. I have it so I personally am not affected, but there are so many people asking for it for last three years that I can't believe they didn't see the demand. Did they just forget about its existence or what? /think

I haven't been able to get the umbrella from the gold saucer yet, so this'll help me in that regard at least.
But I can understand why they don't have more discounts because that's just giving people a way to enjoy the Gold Saucer less.
You have to engage with it less to get the items you want, and thus play the game less.
I'm surprised there aren't a few more new items for us to work for.

Make it rain has always been meh imho ( I have rain maker but im not against it returning)
and the Halloween event from last year did come back
so i can remember the true horror of CC elezen will never look this good

One has to wonder how much of the delay is due to 'Covid' and how much is due to key members of the development team having their attention split between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI? Delays and bite sized content has been a problem for quite some time now.
