A bit of a rant about Make It Rain and All Saints Wake

So I woke up expecting some old items or even just in game old items for Halloween and a small chunk of various items from the saucer to be on sale for mgp. I just gotta rant cause its my favorite holiday and favorite past time in this game.

All that is 30% off is the glamour which if your an addict to the saucer you have...thats the cheap stuff. This counts the weapons and the clothing. Below is literally a list on what is on sale from the special vendor related to the make it rain event.

All the Glamour Clothing.
All the glamour weapons.
3 new saucer machines for housing
The 3 Old saucer machines for housing
1 new triad card
2 old triad cards
and that's it


nothing to do with Halloween or former make it rain campaigns.
This year's quest which gives you a question mark is just basically a guide to the saucer. If you repeat the quest, which has an un-skippable event and is just a guide, then it only gives 100 mgp.

The hmm emote with the question mark from the first time is literally how I feel...I question why even bother holding them this year instead of skipping.

Seriously, you put the old saints wake items from last year on the mogstation for the generic overpriced amount. There is no Halloween pack which is there for the winter / Christmas holiday.

I am glad we have last year's old haunted house but that's it.

Yes the pandemic is hindering everything I get that. I was expecting no story
but i mean you could have put up the spooky in game items for mgp and have not had so many upset.

The pudding rugs, the coffin from void ark, the cauldron, the creepy candles, and chandlers.

heck even just some kind of Halloween treat

Just do something.

The emote is a perfect response to both the events. The Make it Rain feels half baked and All Saints Wake feels like there was not even thoughts of dusting off old content items.

They couldn't put some of the mounts or music in for 30% off

I frequent the saucer like many others. This means the lower costing items are already done and a few of the mounts and music.

I wish I could have my fenrir eat the events out of memory or have an inception event removing these both from my view cause I love this game and feel like SE means well but both these events literally have no spirit in them.

They had various hairstyles not on the mogstation, mounts, and even triad cards. Those could have easily just been brought back. What was stated on the site about previous event items might be the three machines for the house that I never saw or the one triad card I never saw, but only that? like this has to be some haunted trick right.... where is the treat or even the spirit.

I was curious on other's feelings about this. Please do not insult or post angry. I just wish to give feedback which there was no direct location for unless it was gameplay, lore or bug fixes.

Seems like most people agree. The event is underwhelming and disappointing. I bought the last gold saucer mount I need and there really isn't anything left for me to buy with MGP, aside from the game machines which are far too large for a small house or apartment. This kind of smacks of something that was thrown together hastily so they don't have to spend time on an event. Given that the Halloween event was pulled, and I'm going to predict there won't be a XMas event either, I think they could have done a little more, or a lot more.

I mean, the reason they dont had time to spent on one (or two) large events was this little thing called "Covid19-pandemic" - they lost a couple of weeks (3 or 4, I think?) during the first lockdown until they had workstations running in peoples homes. My guess would be that when they decided what to cut, the choice was easly made to cut those seasonal events instead of "normal" content.

They simply lost some time that they wont get back.

I get that Vidu I just wish they put in even some spooky craftable items already in the game for mgp. Doing that really is not a hard thing to do.

I just really wanted the Rainmaker hairstyle.. to have access or the option to obtain previous years awards would have just been gravy, as i didn't start until during 2019. I was under the impression when events repeat, last years items either return or end up on the mog store... i am now very big sad :'(

Generally they do - the things just added are from last year's Make It Rain (the sabotender emote) and All Saints' Wake (the circus ahriman).

The hairstyle is a weird thing in limbo that the devs seem to have forgotten about entirely. It's one of the few annual event items that ever got repeated, to my knowledge, and now it's just gone.

I've never heard of MIR having exclusive mounts. Just discounts on the usual ones. The hairstyle was the only thing i was aware of being unique to the event.

I'm sure the devs have heard our anguished cries about that hairstyle and just don't care, ive been waiting patiently since i found out about it as a wee sprout :c

I'm less disappointed in Make It Rain (it's usually boring to me and I'm only there for the rewards and mgp) and more so that we didn't get All Saints Wake this year. I really enjoy hanging out in that Haunted Manor instance with people. I get it though, COVID, but still.

The Rainmaker hairstyle still being unavailable is bizzare. I have it, but I have friends who started to play that want it, and yet they never made it available again. I think they should just put it in the mgp store (like they did with the arcade games) for like 300k and just leave it there all year at this point.

I usually get mad when people come here and rant about the events, because they are usually fun, and something SE literally doesn't have to do period, but this one is a bit frustrating.
