Of course, if you summon him away from the wards, he won't be in the wards to sell the stuff, but his bazaar will remain laid out, and will be available to other players again the next time you set him in a ward.

This is the important and silly part, you'd think if you summon your retainer, exchange some items and dismiss them, they'd go back to the wards if they have something to sell... apparently the retainers are lazy :P

I'm guessing there are rules about how items can be moved and viewed in the server application that prevent this from happening.
