The Weeping City of Mhach Queue time

So, i've been in queue for that alliance raid already over 1 hour. Doesn't it get filled with people in roulette queue? Then it shouldn't take that long. But how come it never gets filled?

I just want to reach Dun Scaith raid, so i can get the gear there. But unfortunately, i am blocked from getting the gear cause of queue time. It's disgusting not getting the gear I want to collect, just because I can't get through the quest line.

Please SE fix this. Either make the diabolic gear buyable from an NPC, or do something about queue time.

They can't really do anything about the queue time But there are a couple factors that can play into that.

First we have Bozja which was just released and pulling a whole lot of the player base away from all other content. The other factor is what time you are queueing. If you are queueing in the "dead zone" times, which is usually late nights to early afternoons when people are generally sleeping and working, everything is going to take longer. Esp on a weekday Try queueing up in prime time and it should be quick(er).

A lot of people do this hence why queues for the other raids can be abysmal. Furthermore, you get an equal amount of EXP regardless of the raid. While Weeping isn't much longer, it's a huge reason people won't touch some o the Ivalice raids (mostly Orbonne).

With all that said, Bozja is definitely wear people are congregating at the moment, especially since it's been over two months since we've had anything new. But the above certainly doesn't help Alliance Roulette.

A somewhat solution will be prioritizing players using the mentor roulette to be sent there to those raids, since right now is probably the content with the longest queue time alongside an extreme primal.

I agree that the EXP rewarded should scaled based on time investment, similarly to MSQ roulette and Castrum Meridianum vs. Praetorium.

However the "item level cheese" issue likely isn't as big of a contributing factor as many seem to believe.
Yes people strip off their gear to guarantee they get the Crystal Tower raids, however there are just as many people queueing for Alliance Roulette who are below level 60 anyway, due to the roulette being one of the best for EXP so it's used for levelling alt jobs.
If you end up with even one player who is below level 60, then every person who stripped off their gear did so for no reason at all.

If they did implement something to remove the ability to 'cheese' the item level, the difference would be negligible.
For example, if we assume the current chances are something like; ARR 80%, HW 10%, SB 7%, ShB 3%.
Then this restriction would likely only bring it down to about; ARR 75%, HW 12%, SB 9%, ShB 4%.

Basically, the actual levels of the characters queuing, and what raids those players have actually unlocked, will still be a bigger factor.
SE have the stats, so they will know this, and likely don't believe the result would be worth the effort required to 'fix' this.

Actually the later 24 mans net more EXP due to the bosses granting more direct EXP which is affected by EXP enhancing buffs like Heat of Battle and Food. The level 60 raids in particular are quite hefty for total EXP gained when compared to the Crystal tower set, due to this, particularly Dun Scaith (over 600k for Diabolos Hollow, 250k for Queen, 150k for Ferdiad, and 100k for Deathgaze). Obviously we could get into splitting hairs over EXP per unit time, but the level 60 raids are outgeared and out potency'd in much the same way as the Crystal Tower set, they just have a higher chance of actually killing people, thus slowing the run down somewhat.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to this LOTA. There's a party griefing everybody with Ancient Flare. (I kid, I kid, but this happened recently and I'd rather die to T.G. Cid's dark domes crossing the streams than this).

Well then you may be suffering just from Bozja being new. it will settle down soon, but those are the punches you role with in an MMO I'm afraid. New content will always eclipse the older stuff, especially when ppl enjoy it.

To be exact, we got a weird half-and-half mix of Yafaemi/Diabolic designs in the Facet sets and we'll hopefully get the other halves soon.
