I'd be happy to.

Any further discussion on the official forums between us will just be me pointing out where you're wrong unless you decide to communicate on a medium where you can't abuse an antiquated ToS for your own benefit.
Have a great day!
Personal attacks without proof. Got it. Have a nice day too.
It is trollI'm not sure if this is bait or not but on the chance it isn't.. I'm nearing 40 and blind in one eye with iffy vission in the other and having done some savage content recently castrum is no where near savage or extreme its really pretty simple to be honest. Just takes practice and totally doable with pugs. Just writing this mostly for the benefit of others that might be scared off from doing the content thinking it might be too hard.
Die besten Absichten können den größten Schaden zur Folge haben.
Leidenschaft ist stärker als Vernunft. Achte darauf, was Menschen tun, nicht was sie sagen, denn Taten verraten jede Lüge.
Age doesn’t diminish reaction time nor brain power and capacity. Certainly not by the age of 42.... here’s an idea OP. Get better at the game
i'll be honest, i've also felt the want/need for alternatives to rewards such as mounts and nice weapons. Unfortunately for me and some others with similar issues we cannot physically do the harder, time consuming content.
I have a disability which makes it hard to use my hands and i love this game but it can be frustrating when the things you really enjoy (such as mount collecting) can't be done because of personal limitations.
I've always wanted maybe a crafter / gatherer or battle alternative. I understand there are mounts etc for crafting already but it would be nice to be able to get all available mounts, we're all different and experience different things in the game and IRL so why have just one set way to earn some items?
Anyway i understand the OP's point of view and i understand that its nice to be rewarded for hard work through battle also, it can just be difficult when you have physical or mental problems that are out of your control that prevent you from obtaining something in the game you would like to have.
eh, First off what do you expect you going to run into every aoe? not put on tank stance? ... the game already has so many simple parts... also there's nothing wrong with "elitist" if a person is willing to learn, to get better they will be kind and respectful and help that person learn.
Sounds like your just crying because you don't want to learn to get better... I doubt you have even asked questions on how to do w/e better.. just get defensive
you're being ageist and ableist - wait what?Recently, I wrote a thread on why I was upset that the Bozjan storyline was locked behind a difficult critical engagement that was Extreme level or even Savage level. Thankfully, I completed it recently because I was fortunate enough to have a few friends help me progress through the engagement and offer me tips. But the thing is, not everyone is as fortunate as me. In total, they used 12 Lost Arises on me, which is not cheap at all and I don't see how PUGs will do that any time soon. Hence, my point still stands on the content being much more hardcore than usual for something that should be casual.
In that thread, however, despite me clarifying that I don't want to see hardcore content removed - I only want them to offer casual players an alternative to enjoy the same story - a lot of people asked me to improve and get better at the game. Not only is this toxic, it also ignores the lived reality of older folks and has a tinge of ableism.
It's well known that your reflexes will slow down as you get older. As a 42 year old veteran I can't react as quickly as I could when I was 20 years old. I sometimes die to mechanics that seem very simple to younger folks because I reacted too late. This isn't a matter of me not trying. My body simply does not react as fast anymore.
Furthermore, people assume that it is natural to be able to concentrate on mechanics over an hour. I could not because of my ADHD and I easily get distracted. During the Castrum engagement that I did with my friends, it took every ounce of energy to make myself concentrate on doing the mechanics. However, with the insane chat spam and people all shouting different things in yell chat, it becomes extremely difficult to focus on what I need to do because of my ADHD.
I hope people realize that when you tell someone to "git gud" or to improve when they are concerned about story or usually-casual content being too hardcore, you're being ageist and ableist. Most of you folks are still young. When you grow older like me I hope people around you have the decency to be more patient towards you and recognize that you may not be able to play as well as you could before, instead of how you're treating me right now.
Want to throw in: Racist, Sexist, Anti LGBTQ+, Anti everything?
You are way to dramatic. At this pint, if you played from ARR till now, where you having this issue, and you still don't know basic rotation or how your class works - then that's on you. Sorry but it's true. The devs play test everything, if they can do it, you can to. Maybe you need better gear, youtube tutorial or a friend like you mentioned, but there is nothing wrong with me telling you "maybe you should reevaluate how you play" this isn't a button mashing game like GW2, this is a "here's your rotation" game.
Right...so, you're saying that progressing as a player is bad. I'm just going to lay it down for you: How else do you get better at the game? Bozja puts you in Lv 80 shoes(even if you're 71, but you need an 80 to enter in the first place due to Quest line reqs; and this can't even be accessed prior to 5.2).
Like, I'm not kidding. By the time you become Lv 80, you should know what you're doing; or at least somewhat if you used a Jump Potion. Hell, there's a good amount of people you can shout at in instance to help you get better at things if you need it. I've shouted at peeps when I was learning Bozja at first or if I needed something, and they answered. You need to just ask.
On top of that, reaction time: A friend of mine plays Warframe with merely an Xbox Adaptive Controller, a sticker on his hat, a sip and puff sensor, and Dragon, a Dictation program. And he's awesome at what he does. I even asked him about XIV and he's played it just fine due to XIV's accessibility on hotkey bindings and the HUD when he tried it back then.
One more thing, as uncle would say: Castrum is not hardcore content. We're not even on BA's level yet until the Savage version comes out; the current Castrum is literally an Alliance Raid's worth of difficulty if you look at it objectively as a whole.
