Fun fact about the military: they DO NOT enlist people who have autism, ADHD, and Asperger’s Syndrome. I’m autistic and I cannot be enlisted in the military as they will not allow people who have it. Mainly because if a person takes medication in order to function like a normal person, it’s an issue as the medication can be abused by the user and other people. Plus people with mental disabilities cannot make good decisions, and that’s a HUGE no-no in the military as it can cost the lives of other soldiers as well as that person. A soldier is responsible for themselves and others in their troop.
Furthermore, people assume that it is natural to be able to concentrate on mechanics over an hour. I could not because of my ADHD and I easily get distracted. During the Castrum engagement that I did with my friends, it took every ounce of energy to make myself concentrate on doing the mechanics. However, with the insane chat spam and people all shouting different things in yell chat, it becomes extremely difficult to focus on what I need to do because of my ADHD.
So please get your facts right when you portray yourself with a person with a “disability,” as if you are disabled, you can’t do anything functional. People with autism and the like can have disabilities, but it’s more like differences. With my autism, I can function like a normal person. I just have trouble following directions and understanding the emotions of others as well as expressing my own.
Nice bait.
I know a 70 year old lady who plays this, people tend to think that's awesome. She just avoids the stuff she can't do or has her daughter help, who also plays.
He has been in the game too long, all his good stuff has been used up.
To OP don't you get tires of writing out these long posts just to have it completely ignored? Most of the forums knows who you are so at most you may get one or to new people per post.
Castrum Lacus Litore isn't even Alliance Raid difficulty...
If you can't play well enough to enjoy the game maybe you'd be better entertained by... a different game?
It would also spare us all here your shallow attempts at bait threads.
Congrats on your clear!
A bit of a word of advice though. Do not stoop to the level of other players. You dont need to insult them, even if they absolutely deserve it. Be the more intelligent person.
I absolutely agree with you that the story should not be tied to content.
In fact, since the dungeons are so horribly designed copy pasted straight line > Trash > Boss repeat x3 formula with no variances from level 15 all the way to level 80, I dont even feel dungeons should be a part of the story. Admittedly with 5.0 they did a much better job integrating the story into the dungeon, instead of just "oh there is a place there, go explore it and come back. I even say we should have more optional content. If they didnt design dungeons in tandem with the story, they could spend all the time they use making multiple dungeons, on other ways to gain tomes, so players have even more options. But using logic and reason in your posts will not afford you any respect or sensibility. I know first hand.
But that is not the case. Instead, you maneuver around the other players in a way that is enjoyable for you. In the end, just as much as intolerable people who do only savage and nothing else are... well ... intolerable, there are people on the other end, who are level 80 and dont completely grasp the concept of a combo. So with that in mind, find ways you can improve, and find ways to adjust to continue having fun.
You dont need to "just quit" like everyone loves to say. If you enjoy certain aspects of FFXIV, stick to them, and find ways to adjust to enjoy the ones maybe you dont prefer as much. Again, all it takes is a little bit of thought, and a bit of adjustment.
I hope you continue having fun! Just, please, realize, you dont have to stoop to their level.
Sastasha, Tam-tara, Brayflox Longstop, and Pharos Sirius all have 4 boss fights. >
In Dzemael Darkhold you can easily go the wrong way until the final third of the dungeon.
Shisui of the Violet Tides has you curve hook into the first boss, followed up with a backwards C shaped run to the captain of the guard before the second boss, and there was a modestly small swimming segment after that.
There's a smidgeon of variance. They may all be railroads, but they've got curves!

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
I know a lot of great guys doing difficult content who will never say that. Just ignore such statements and enjoy the game. After all, these are just pixels and no one can force you to do what you cannot or what you don't like.
Yeah!
No one can force you to be a grey sch who can't even understand the proper use of emergency/deployment tactics!
That's a decision you should make for yourself.
