Lets call a spade a spade. You're leeching off the work of others so you can be sure to get credit in multiple fates. You can be sure if half the group at a fate does that those left behind to finish the fate will miss the one you are so politely running too.

Can't stop that behavior but one can also recognize it for what it is.

I recognize that a handful of inefficient players want to stay and whack at a fate they already contributed to enough for a gold rating, and instead of accepting the consequences of their choices they are mad that other players don't alleviate them. No one is "leaving them behind", they choose that. If I could I would Rescue them to the next fate myself.

You can be sure if half the group at a fate does that those left behind to finish the fate will miss the one you are so politely running too.

If only people didn't complete the second fate so quickly that latecomers will miss it. Oh wait, that's exactly what you are advocating for and I'm advocating against. Anyone with two braincells to rub together can figure out that the way to get as many players a gold rating as possible, is for everyone to get gold rating and then stop killing enemies to give others more time.

It's a fair point to be honest, that if people are dropping a FATE at 50% it just means that FATE finishes slower and gives people time to reach it. If lots of people are FATE hopping, they don't all simultaneously finish in 30 seconds. People will however, split off and start multiple FATEs at once in separate groups, you can't prevent that because random people in a zone just aren't going to all coordinate. Doing 50% on one FATE and 50% on the other makes more sense than doing 100% on one and everyone misses the other and I don't see why people feel that should be forced gameplay.

You mean that bunch of smart players stay, because they understand that unless someone stays and actually finishes the FATE, nobody will get any rewards at all from it - no matter how much or little they contributed.

So my point still stands, if everyone follows that logic no fate will be ever finished. In special with the scaling when a big train is around.

I'll reflect your own argument back at you. If everyone does the minimum required for gold but goes back to finish fates that aren't getting finished, then fates will be completed and there will be more players who get gold rating.
