Too bad what you think doesn't matter, like you tell other people. Yoshida already has a plan to fix Paladin. MRD/WAR needs no adjustment in comparison in terms of general gameplay, even SE acknowledges this.
I don't mean any disrespect to anyone's opinion. If any of you think that PLD is fine and WAR should be nerfed, it's relevant and you can say that. However discussing fixes/adjustments to WAR in a thread titled "Simple Fix to PLD" is going off-topic and I don't want the thread to be derailed.
Personally I feel WAR is fine. It fits the offensive tank role well by design, and it was never a secret that it would be attracting lots of hate as a job. The problem is PLD isn't fitting the defensive tank role well, and instead WAR is becoming the universal tank for pretty much every scenario. The problem is SE said Paladin would lose HP but gain greater defense and damage mitigation in return and instead it takes pretty much the same damage as WAR when it matters.

I don't think that's good idea (´・ω・`)Thats not well rounded, it's actually quite broken and overpowered, no job should excel at both DPS and Tanking at the same time.
Although the majority like to think this is a problem with Gladiators/Paladins its actually more of a problem with Marauders/warriors and has been for a very long time, jobs just make the situation more noticeable.
I actually think SE should fix MRD/WAR before even considering fixing GLA/PLD.
Change the stances for MRD/WAR's to :-
1) Berserk - Sacrifice a large amount of defence for attack power. (so much so that they can't tank in this stance)
2) Defender - Sacrifice a large amount of attack power for defence. (so much so that they can't DPS effectively in this stance)
Can not change stance during combat.
For Berserk stance - when you get hit, your ATK bonus from Berserk's gone. So it's not good if you're tanking, plus ATK bonus also decrease your DEF already.
For Rampage stance - you need to be hit to gain DEF bonus and it fades over time if you aren't hit, so it's pretty useless if you're DD (but your objective is about DPS effectively when tanking, yes it should have some adjustment about this)
Can not change stance during combat - I totally disagree with this, for me WAR is flexible job so they should be able to switch stance during combat.
The problem that I feel that it make WAR quite OP are Rampage's hp restore + Enhance Rampage (total 50% of dmg done when crit to HP)
I hope for adjustment of WAR and make PLD stronger. (`・ω・´)ゞ

I was talking about removing the effect when hit, it would just be a straight forward attack and defence stance.

And that's why its broken, people can easily abuse stances if you can switch back and fourth during combat. I'm thinking, maybe when we get our assassin like class into play, having a warrior going apeshit would be a blessing if we could convert their enmity toward the PLD.
But again, I don't think hate is the problem. I just find it weird how PLD seems like the only class to take a negative stat change in order for a increase in another stat that has already exhibited it's own diminishing return.
