    That's all well and good (only read OP) but, I think we also need to make blocking actually matter in respect to damage mitigation. It does other things which is great but compared to even a partial parry it's a joke, not to mention a full parry (0 dmg) on things that could 1-shot PLD.

    They are still overpowered whatever way you look at it.

    It's not that we should be bringing Paladin up to Warrior standards we should be bringing Warrior down to Paladin.

    Of course every Marauder is going to disagree with this, they have been overpowered for wayyy too long.

    And to be honest a hit to Warrior DPS won't negate its tanking abilities that much, as it stands they can already hold hate better than most paladins and actually are much easier to play.

    It's all about balance.

    Take antagonize from WAR and give it to PLD; there, both jobs are now balanced. :P

    That skill is crazy good they should just make sent for pld work he same way >.> that would give pld the dmg reduction and the hate they need >_> or they should make that war skill last only like 10 secs.

    However WAR would still have access to both Sentinel and Antagonize, still a problem.

    Also even on its own merits I can see a WAR nerf incoming. Don't get me wrong, I play WAR quite a bit as both tank and DD but I have to admit it's pretty OP.

    That's why i said in another post war does not need gla sub to take it has enough hate gaining skills of its own should not need more. After i really looked @ war with tanking skills it has to many almost more then pld but most of wars are better

    I dont get how people say paladin generates enough hate when it clearly doesn't. on a war i have so much free time i can type long assed messages in linkshell or party chat pretty much ignore flash and voke after the first use (maybe hit them if i miss a cyclone combo). and still be a ridiculously solid tank generating a ridiculous amount of emnity and keeping hate easily.

    as a paladin i can spam the living hell out of everything, holy succor myself as much as mp permits. everyone else is usually to far away to cast on them, and still not generate a comfortable level of hate that lets the dds have room to breathe. even the regen from divine veil fails cos noones ever in range to get it and it doesn't effect the one person that needs it most.

    yes flat blade has a 4.5 mod but it hits for next to nothing on anything that matters and 4.5 x nothing is still nothing. skull sunder also has an emnity bonus for combo and it hits alot harder + has a steel cyclone desert.

    i can spam every ability keep everything on cool down and still generate less emnity than a warrior. now you may lol at my ability spam fest but i'm pretty sure that flash/voke generate a static emnity value. which kinda negates timing (outside of stuff that has hate reset) in ifrit, something everyone is common with for example. if i flash after a swipe or flash after eruptions it makes no difference to the emnity boost. so keeping it on cooldown is pretty much all you can do.

    still with respect to the topic at hand and the op's changes if they give pld a defensive buff fix shileds and have more sustainable mp regen would make holy succor a much more viable hate tool.

    ^ I have noticed the accuracy on GLA is atrocious, it makes building TP and actually getting combos pretty frustrating.

    My GLA is only 41 at the moment does it get better ? lol
