    Party Sync

I've had an idea for a bit, and it's probably been suggested before, but can we get the option to sync our character/gear level outside of instances? I've had a few times now where I wanted to help a friend survive content that kept beating them down and ruining their experience. But my only option for helping them included one-shotting the enemies for them, which is no fun for them at all, and drastically reducing the experience they get, just by being in a party with them.

Having the ability to level sync down in normal quest areas without being in an instance, dungeon, or FATE, would drastically improve an end-game players' ability to help lower level players without negative consequences, and greatly improve many new players' experience of the game.

(This would also help with content like Eureka where having higher elemental level players in your party drops your experience from the thousands and tens of thousands, to the tens and hundreds per kill. Even if they're not attacking the enemies at all, or are only a couple of levels above you.)

To sum up, my suggestion is simply this:
Allow players the option of syncing down to a party members' level to aid them with on-level content, and rather than ruining the experience by making them feel like they're getting "carried", they will ADD to the experience by being; Extra DPS. A tank. A healer. Someone who can assist them on-level, without making them feel like a burden while you one-shot enemies for them.

And thank you to anyone who spends their time reading this. I appreciate even that much consideration. :P

You can already attack anything on the over world without being in party. Just follow them, let them hit the monsters first, and then you can one shot them. They will get full EXP... at least that's how it used to be last time I PL'd a friend from level 1 to 20.

So that takes care of the EXP issue. Beyond that, all you can really do is level another job with them, unless you've got all 80s.

But honestly, if your friends are having that much trouble in the overworld, then they've either got a gearing issue or they're not engaging with the game fully.

OP I like this idea, if it were expanded on for FATEs as well, or well mostly for. Maybe have a check box for the party leader to have auto sync(or on second thought just have a button in the party section that you choose yourself), so when you are joining in FATEs like for the relic, you dont have to click to sync every time in the same area?

I get this. Demolishing everything makes the lowbie feel useless and they don't learn anything, and the old "out of party" trick doesn't help that. There is a whole social aspect that the devs don't seem to get. I tried grouping with someone a few times, but as soon as someone has a solo duty you gotta break up the party. RIFT has what they call mentoring and sidekicking. You could manually lower your level at almost any time in the world, and lowbies could match higher level players in their party. SWTOR allowed you to share almost any quest instance, including most class phases.

Regardless its not a bad idea. The only thing short of work around is OP carrying around gear that is leveled for that particularly instance or zone to keep things from getting one shot. Personally having some sort of level and or item sync button for a party outside of fates and dungeons would be a nice addition. I also think it would be nice for how the current relic weapon quest works with fate farming. Yea you can create a macro for the level sync button for fates but its still a bit of a hinderance/nuisance. Its kind of a win win for everyone.
