Why is no one talking about beastmaster?

Last patch all the job speculation blew up with chemist, spellblade, necromancer, berserker etc.

But now bozja comes out and has a truck load of literal beastmasters in it and not a peep?

They all seem to use one handed axes and a shield so possibly a tank job with the pet as a kind of companion that fills other roles possibly even able to summon multiple pets? Some of the commands they use are obey to order a special attack, bestial loyalty to buff the pets and run wild which I don’t know the effect of because it’s interruptible so I never see it go off.

Been busy with Bozja is prob why.
But yeah, it's pretty obvious that Beastmaster is kinda already confirmed for the next job at this point. What i'd like to know is how will we be able to become one as well.

I think there were threads awhile back and the general opinion was that if we were to get beastmaster, it would end up being a limited job.

FFXI beastmasters were already considered solo jobs and Yoshi-P has stated numerous times that he is not a fan of pet classes.

I expect to be disappointed so it's not worth getting hyped about IMO.

I believe they even name dropped Beastmaster as a potential second limited job back at fanfest when talking about blue mage, but would have to look it up to confirm.

Either way I wouldn't take any of this as 'confirmation' or a 'hint' of anything, just as I didn't take 5.3 as a hint toward chemist, necromancer or berserker.

If they are going to have "limited" Jobs it makes sense to have more of them as long as they can play together nicely.

Because a lotta people don't wanna get worked up over something they might just be reading too far into.
Heck, even after a job is confirmed I personally don't like to speculate on it because I'll get really attached to an idea and inevitably be disappointed when SQEX has their own ideas.

Lack of interest. I mean, even in FFXI where Beastmaster was absurdly good, a lot of people ignored it because of its penalty on party EXP. This basically forced anyone leveling it, for a long time, to have to solo all of their levels.

Not only will it be a limited job, more than likely, but I doubt anyone will really want to play it. Unless it can like... Jug-Pet 7 party slots and solo old fights with relative ease.
