Before you power level noobs

Everyone wants to hate on me. :/ Guess I need to stop wearing my Coral Armilliae. *sarcasm*
I think it is hard for me to give tips on here. Contact me when I'm online and not away or busy and I'll be more than gladly offer some advice for leveling. I'm no expert and it has been ages since I leveled a class, but I can try to give the best advice I can.
Seriously though, I ranted, got this off my chest, read some interesting feedbacks, but I think I'll always hate mindless noobs shouting for PLs and people charging to PL the mindless drones that want a quick fix.

I admit it can be off putting to see someone who starts playing the same time as you reach level 50 and your still level 15 but it's really just a choice. I've decided to take a slow pace and level up each class one or two levels at a time at least to certain point, spending time with each class like this gives me an idea of what play style I may prefer and seems to prolong the usefulness of equipment I'm crafting, and I'm really getting to know the game and too me that is nice, but for others they simply like to get everything and have everything as fast as possible, and there are always going to be people like that and they are just as entitled to PL and experience all the content quickly as I am to take the slow road of leveling each class and experiencing new quest content at a slower rate than everyone around me.

I'm sorry but, doesn't PL'ing do exactly this?! LOL I sure as heck know when I'm PL'd I'm leeching XP and not doing a damn thing; other than being polite to at least cure the person PL'ing us if needed. So I'm not sure of the validity of your train of thought.

There's a difference between an explicit PL and someone gimping up their party slot and leeching off 7 other people their level. In the former case it's understood that you're exerting no effort. In the latter case it's assumed that you're even trying to pull your weight.

If you have the means to offer a service and people are willing to pay for it, I don't see anything wrong with shouting "capitalism ho!" and PLing someone for gil. Niches being filled is just the nature of the market. Hate it all you want, but unless SE patches something it's never going away.

On-topic: If it was actually difficult to play a class right you might have an argument, but it is easy to learn the basics of each class just spending a little time in a party (around 5 minutes, seriously). Everything, except maybe primal battles, can be done decently well with just the basics, and for primal fights, even someone who levels legit has to learn the fight from scratch. Like others have said, it just depends on whether the player wants to learn or not.

so.. i was rank 50 with all classes when actions were revamped.... that's like saying i've been PLed from 1 to 50 on all classes in one day... guess what? i know how to play em all (apart from whm, but simply cos i don't like healing) and not through grind parties- went out, soloed some company leves on each job and simply learned combos/skills by myself in less than 3 hours. PL doesn't change a thing as many have stated, a bad player will be so regardless of PL.. it's happened a lot of times in ffxi too, finding a lvl 75 <job> not knowing how to play, but PL there was nothing like in ffxiv.. so what's the point of this thread?
