Yeah, but somehow you're more "pure" if you mindlessly grind on trash mobs to 50 rather than sit back and let others mindlessly grind trash mobs to 50. That way, you somehow know how to play your class better in endgame.

Fun fact, first time I ever used WAR for tanking, I'd never really tanked before. I leveled MRD before the class overhaul, so I had nothing to draw on for playing the class. I took a minute, looked at my action bar and the skills I had available to me (and what I could cross-class), proceeded to work out a basic strategy, and then never lost hate. While keeping up in the parse. Despite mediocre-at-best gear (Ifrit axe + full AF + jewelry) and no prior WAR tanking experience. Was I spectacular? Not really. But there was no denying I was competent.

We've tried to explain why grind parties don't prepare you for the current endgame content several times. I think it's just a lost cause. If OP just doesn't like PL that's fine it's just OP seems to think PL makes you inherently a worse player despite fact tons of people they've passed in Ul or partied with have been PLed and they have no idea unless OP is handing out a questionnaire prior to all runs.

To draw on just a part of what you said, I'm glad you can tank on warrior. I'm not supporting the OP or attacking you, but anyone can tank on warrior. 4 > 5 > 1 2 3 > 1 2 3 > 6 > 1 2 3... failing that, put up rampage and just hit 1 2 3 over and over.

There are better examples to use than tanking on warrior i mean to say.

You realize this was exactly my point, right? It's not meant to be some kind of "I'm so awesome." It's meant to be more like "somehow despite being PLed I'm not some kind of mouthbreathing gimp."
