WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
If this isn't a troll, it's one of those "Dreaded WoW Players Ruining Our Community!!111!!!!!1one" that I've heard so much about, but never actually encountered.
I guess not you; which makes this a you problem.
It's merely content not made for you, simple. Others enjoy it. Sorry you're upset about it, though. But honestly...if you don't like it, just don't do it.
I mean, unless you're trolling; which I'm starting to believe you are.

Yes, the relics are only relevant for a short time.
No, they are not for players like you, but those that enjoy the grind/want something semi-long term goal wise to do alone or with friends.
Some people, not myself, enjoy grinding these things. All the more to them.

Relics are, have always been, and will always be, glam. Sometimes for a VERY short time they are better than other items, but they are glam. Their purpose is to give you something to spend time on between patches. See:ARR relic, capable of taking 30-40 hours for each job's weapon, and in the end it was only 5 ilevel above augmented ironworks. Admittedly the customized substats could do interesting things to what counted as optimal, but none the less relics are glam and side content to keep you busy, not really a 'work for this to get a weapon upgrade' stuff.
A lot easier to accept it when you realize that it's just putting time in to get a shiny thing. Also, that HW WHM weapon, mmmmm. Simple, shiny, glowy.

Why didn't you guys say it was for glamour. Fashion is always worth the grind!Relics are, have always been, and will always be, glam. OP reaks of Titanman. This is ether yet another new character by the same person or a copycat.

"If you don't like it, don't do it" was last expansion's line.
We're already out Deep Dungeons, an Ultimate, and a dungeon per patch this expansion because the Korean Grinder Simulator needs even more polish time.
This is actively detracting from content I enjoy.

The extra dungeon I admit I miss too (though we're only behind one dungeon every other patch. Stormblood did two in even patches and one in odd) since it makes you get sick of every dungeon faster since they stick around expert roulette longer and come up more frequently.
But we're not really out an ultimate unless they confirmed there will not be one in 5.4 We got two of those in Stormblood and so far one in Shadowbringers.

Relics have been in the game longer than Deep Dungeons are. If you wanna point fingers at where the resources that went into Deep Dungeons and the like went, you probably wanna look at Ishgard Restoration and all the crafting stuff they've been doing.
