Because no one cares about the Spanish, however, a British Imperial Holiday with a Garlemald theme, I would wholeheartedly agree to. After all, it is we who ended slavery along Africa's West and East Coast and civilised Europe (the only place that matters and the cradle of culture).Just wondering why Halloweens, which you don't even get time off for, is prioritized over Columbus day, which is a national holiday? What's the deal here? We could have an exploration themed Columbus day where we roleplay as conquistadors and claim lands for ourselves as an event dungeon. Don't really want to do the same trick or treat Halloweens event again and again. Feels like there is a war on Columbus Day even in Japan now. Also, if we celebrate Lunar New Year, a Japanese/Korean/Chinese holiday, why can't we celebrate July 4th?

Also, Halloween is a 6000-year-old Celtic Tradition and of course, more British holidays would be welcome.

Where do I sign up for the war against Columbus?
Even blue-eyed and blonde Scandinavians were considered lesser too lol, they were discriminated against in the US too until the Polish migration happened and then people became a bit more accepting and started focusing their discrimination on the Polish instead.
Basically anyone who weren't Anglo-Saxon was considered '' lesser ''.
Today people call it '' white '' and the definition has been broadened quite significantly but that's a VERY recent development.

Pretty much, but a lot of white immigrants can/could "fit" in easier here. All it really takes is a generation or two. Even more so if they were protestant. What you look like is a big factor.Even blue-eyed and blonde Scandinavians were considered lesser too lol, they were discriminated against in the US too until the Polish migration happened and then people became a bit more accepting and started focusing their discrimination on the Polish instead.

I know Irish were discriminated against pretty heavily as well - in Britain too. By the way, I'm a little irish from my dad.. I'm pretty much full on American. On paper, my name is completely anglo.

The mistreatment of the irish is very much looked over, and it baffles me that it's not spoken about more in history classes.
People are quick to forget.
Considering how extremely bloody Europes history is too I think it speaks volumes for how much people actually can move on and end violent/ bad cycles.
I never really see people talk about how the Japanese or even just Asians in general were mistreated too especially during WW2 in the US a lot of people don't even seem to be aware altogether.
There just seems to be quite a lot of whitewashing of history.
