Are people that blind? People hate rng like in eureka but the timer is on another level and it's fine? It needs to change and give everyone a house. But more importantly, stop putting us through a timer!
Considering the alternative to this is a return to the housing market where you had to pay several times over a house's in game cost to another player, prayed that they honored the agreement, and hoped that some random drive by didn't buy the house out from under you. And given how much gil some of these houses were going for, there was definite RMT incentive there.

There's no good solution here. I don't like what this is doing to the playerbase anymore than you, but I'm not seeing a good idea that would replace the timer without letting all of that bad stuff come back.

That said, having a temper tantrum over people not agreeing to remove the timer is helping no one here.

I hope Op realizes people camp plot in terms of minutes and the timer helps to extend the timer longer so more people have the chance to at least see an empty plot.

If the timer is removed, the only changes you are going to experience is instead of clicking on the placid for hours, you'd be clicking on the ward npc for hours. Both still requires you to spam.

Therefore timer or not, it really makes no difference lol It all comes down to rng.

Honestly the only option that works for new buyers is an auction system.

Update: come to think of it, spamming ward npc if the timer is removed is actually 100x worst. Before at least the timer gives you some idle time when it becomes available. Where as without the timer you will have to spam and check ward npc 24/7 haha

God bless mist plot 36 opened for relocation the day before patch 5.35 (assumed the previous owner transferred to a low pop server for a mansion) and I get to jack it with 0 require timer.

This doesn't make any sense. You don't have to spam the ward NPC and never did. Checking it at the top of the hour is enough as that's when auto-demolished plots are relinquished.
