We weren't really able to upgrade our Eureka gear until we could farm fragments in BA. I suspect there will be another way to get coins when the next relic patch shows up. It's not really realistic rightn not to try and upgrade one chest piece with 999 coins when you get a maximum of 26 per castrum run. At this point I would simply focus on buying the base gear with is pretty cheap when it comes to coins needed.

You can skip the coin req and get the upgrade material items from chests after the second boss if you saved enough prisoners. The drop rate isn't that low as well. Quite a few people have upgrade materials already and it's only day 2.

Upgraded Eureka gear was pretty important for BA. I can tell you it was easy to pick out those without +2 gear when it came to boss aoe's and having to heal them. I suspect the gear will be a big plus for the new BA when it releases and given there is both a normal and hard (savage) version of it.

The upgraded Bozja gear probably isn't going to be that important in the long run, but having access to the higher tier lost actions definitely is.

I feel like the battlefront is just a prep period for the true nastiness to come with the 24/48 raid in 5.45.

When you say "Save enough", do you mean like you need 5 or 6 for it to even drop? Or just chests have a chance of dropping them and you get more chances with more chests?
