The New Housing System is Terrible

I meant permanently lock housing to FCs only, forever. I know it’s not what people want, but that situation is exactly why it should exist: houses remained open several days.

Housing initially started as FC only and what many consider with obscene prices. But wards didn't fill and people asked for personal housing.

SE said FC housing would be separated from personal housing but did not deliver and reduced housing prices drastically to the point where everyone and their aldgoat can afford the 3-4m for a small.

Also Lodestone data shows that FCs only occupy ~29% of the housing on NA. servers. So people need to stop using shell FCs as a scape goat for housing shortages.

SE's persistent ward system is terrible with coping with increasing player population. SE should have gone with fully instanced housing from the start. But SE likes to double down on their ideas, eg Diadem, Eureka etc.

At the very least SE should improve apartments so that we can upgrade them to condos/penthouses for gil with balconies for gardening and workshop access to reduce the demand for ward housing.

Wasn’t blaming FCs for anything...actually I said quite the opposite: that 29% FC ownership should be 100%. And that keeping said housing should require actual bodies (so yes it does negate shell FCs...unless an FC goes to the effort of having multiple alts...although that is not really my point)

It was not a mistake for SE to reduce prices, but it was a mistake to open it up to everyone.
