Yeah and it honestly took me out of the story quite a bit. These scenes are even more funny (in a sad way) if you are a machinist.

Oh god, yeah. Given how it does end, it would be even more absurd on MCH than it was for us healers. Way to disempower the main character by making them dumb as a bag of rocks in cutscenes?

I wonder if it's like the "female arm grab" that renders characters powerless in anime. Go into a cutscene, and suddenly we need an NPC to rescue us because apparently job stones all shut off.

As someone on the lore forum said its probably because they did not want to put in the work by giving each job (and race) its own unique animation...at the cost of the character feeling like they are not even there and being all weak. But just one little change and it would have all made much more sense...we would still be way too powerless but at least still within some reason..

My character probably had to talk it all out with all the voices in her head...a certain Dark Knight one being the loudest...or maybe she just want to punch more stuff? Who knows...

Its also quite sad how our character (and Mikoto too) has the echo and yet its never used in a situation like that...and seeing how Mikoto even can see a bit of the future...yeah really convient that it never works when we truly need it.
