You'd think the devs would have created a better queuing system for Castrum after the mess that BA queuing was. Nope.

I am disgusted to see how many people are complaining that the content isn't the "grind" they want to see. There are 16 jobs to gear out, and now a player can actually do that casually without losing their minds with silly low drop chances on things. Bozja is an immediate upgrade from eureka, is it perfect, no, but the level of vitriol in these comments is undeserved and incredibly elitist. We dont all have hours to grind for weapons and im glad there is an alternate way to do so. If you're problem is relic items don't drop in bozja, then I think you're missing the point. Bozja is part HoH, and the leveling aspect is phenomenal as well
This content is a solid ☆☆☆☆\5
subtle art, a deft hand; be like the breeze, go where you are taken

So I did castrum first time. Interesting bosses, trash has some interesting things like the (minor spoiler) at rooms at after first boss. But still aoe-fest trash like always.
Critical missions are simply not fun most of the time. They are designed that they one shot from one mistake because thats how it balances the 48 requirement and everyone supposedly having protect, infinite resses etc.
I understand that there is need for hard content but Bozja? Eeeeh? Im not bad but no means god either. Doing one mistake and lying dead on the floor for rest of fight because healers are out of MP isnt really "fun". At least make it so you can take 2 major hits and 4 smaller ones. Otherwise the mechanics are fine. Its just the damage is bit too high.
The worst part is that Castrum can pop during critical engagements. Seriously did NO ONE think it would cause problems if 48 people are doing red chocobo and then middle of it castrum pops up? Ive had SO many castrums going 7/48 people because rest were at critical or doing "just cluster farm".

I want my chocobo with me. He's upset he's been left out.

with CE we need so we switch are roles to make best out dps and stuff
Still an issue. Had a run of Castrums just last night that didn't even reach 20 people because people had hopped into CEs that started right before the pop meaning they either die and go back to base and then register, of do their current CE.That's not really an issue anymore. With the Castrum spawntime no longer a secret, usually enough people in the instance are keeping track of the time. Even if you don't know yourself you can always ask in Shout when Castrum will be up. Just plan around it and don't join any CE like 10 minutes before CCL will pop.
This weekend it was just the other way around: With everyone planing for Castrum, some normal CEs often had only like 1-3 people in their queuing list. We have already shifted from "Oh no, only a handfull of people are queing for Castrum, guess we won't make it" to "Oh no, there are more of 48 people for Castrum, I hope I'll make the cut".
Did anyone announce in shout chat that Castrum would be starting in x minutes and not to join any other CE's?
If so, then the issue is that people chose to not play Castrum, and prioritised those other CE's. That's player agency and you can't really fault that.
If not, then the problem is that nobody informed anyone of when Castrum was starting.
Yes to the first. The people in the CEs were complaining that about being stuck in the CEs, or losing a butt load of mettle. Not to mention we ran into a lot of inaccurate callouts.Did anyone announce in shout chat that Castrum would be starting in x minutes and not to join any other CE's?

Castrum was refreshing, especially after years and years of simply being thrown into a circular or square room to fight a boss. I like it! Castrum is the kind of raid I'd like to see more of in the rest of the game. The closest approximation is the 24-man raids, and that's cause it pretty much uses that same structure, but all it takes is to add a few extra objectives here and there plus some effective use of separating and coordinating parties to make it feel better.
Another thing I like about it is its accessibility. You just queue up for it when it appears. It's also not buried behind Anemos, Pagos, Pyros, and Hydatos.
