Overall Bozja adds some interesting elements, but it just feels like a more watered down Eureka with MUCH less to do. No challenge log and no really clear gains for ranking up in Bozja, as opposed to Eureka where leveling up had immediate gains.

I also think the elemental wheel in Eureka was really fresh and I would have loved to have seen that expanded upon.

I'm also personally bummed out that there is no equivalent to the bunny fates that were in Eureka which keep Eureka content relatively active to this day.

The biggest issue with Bozja is that they've made it redundant from the start by making it laughably easier to finish your relic outside Bozja than inside Bozja. It's like...the most glaring game development flaw I've seen from SE in a while. Bozja should be the more efficient way to farm for your relic or at least on the same level of efficiency as doing HW fates, but instead it's so much easier to do it outside the new content that doing the new content just feels like a waste of time. Why such a gap in the drop rates? Why cater to people that are afraid to do the new content to this scale?

It just baffles me and I'm really disappointed as someone who was very excited for this content and as someone who loved Eureka but recognized its flaws.

The only improvement over Eureka is the concept of Critical Engagements and the 1v1 fates. That aside, Eureka was superior in every sense. Gameplay-wise, aesthetically, as a means to spend time efficiently, etc.

I don't think it has to be superior to FATEs, I think you get a lot more value out of doing it within Bozja and so it could even be slightly less efficient on that one aspect, but I do think it should be like at least 75-90% as efficient. Such that if you wanted to loose all other benefits going for you, but not have to deal with Eureka 2.0 for whatever reason you may have then you could and it would be a decent choice, but if you liked Eureka 2.0 it would also be a good choice (get the lock boxes and other things special to Bozja).

I think this is the main intention behind it the developers thought.

Doing it by HW fates alone means you do nothing but the relic (and maybe a bit of exp.)
Whereas doing it in Bozja you can work on increasing your rank for future Bozja content, get tremendous amounts of exp for any 71-79 jobs you have, get tomestones(skirmishes & critical engagements award some), lockboxes filled with rare minions & mounts, enjoy a new zone we haven't seen 1000x over by now, engage in fights that are much more fun than any HW fate (Red Comet & the Castrum were amazing fun), all the while working on your relic, while something most important to me: doing it at level 80 with my full toolkit instead of syncing down constantly.

Doing it by Bozja gives far more bang for your buck for time spent overall, but if someone truly doesn't care for it and doesn't mind getting locked out of future Bozja content and won't regret it later, then the alternative path is there for them.

Personally I found the zone itself, artistic war is happening feel to it. I like the music as well its catchy and engaging.

CE are fun for the first couple of times but it really is just a grind fest with bad drop rates. I do like the solo engagements that pops up even if I just watched the person that was picked. Its like all eyes are on you know so you gotta do your best.

AS for the CE themselves, you definitely have to pay attention to mechanics or you can one shotted or stuck with a debuff for the durations of the engagement.

The notes are cool. ONce you have a note you can turn in duplicates for lockboxes.

Mount speed feels slow for a zone of that size. Even just a small increase in speed will make a world of difference. I mix it up with lost skill swift to move around quickly. I mean you can outrun a mount with it for a few moments.

    My gripes

I wish there were more action slots for lost skills. Maybe 1 for def/off, 1 for restorative and 1 tactical or items. Maybe another slot will come maybe it won't.

You really don't feel progression here in the front. I mean at least in eureka you felt progression from grinding. It is way better doing fates elsewhere for memories for relic weapon upgrades. I get people don't want to go to Borzja but ySE kind of made one method easier than the other which is pretty messed up. It definitely is broken on that part.

    PS

I am personally sick of indigo stars please come up something else to replace the common loot reward for the lockbox.

They should at least be on par, and if there's going to be a disparity between the two it shouldn't be quite this severe.

I did Bozja for 2-3 hours last night and got 5 memories. I did HW fates today and got the remaining 55 in 2 hours, tops.

The disparity is so large that there's functionally no reason to do Bozja for the relic. And as someone like myself, who already has all the battle jobs at 80, that leaves little else to be gained from Bozja. Sure, there are mounts and minions but that's about it--and those aren't even market prohibited so I could literally buy the Gabriel mount on my server right now for just 3 million gil, and I'm sure it'll only get cheaper as the days progress.

So for me, and a lot of other players who already have all their jobs leveled, why should I even bother with new content when they've made it so much easier to do it by easier means?

The map is kind of lazy in a sense its just 3 areas that are rectangles, however the skirmishes can be fun with groups as well as trying to get the star level enemies downed with death.

As for castrum its a pretty fun mini raid. I have done it in a pug as well as premades from party finder and have found both to be enjoyable. I don't think there is much of a hassle with "snipers" as there is usually not enough people to even fill it up to 48.

I do think they need to tweak the spawn timer for castrum and make it so that it does not crossover with any of the Critical engagements that also spawn.
