Logged in as soon as the servers went up here too. Sat in a 1500 person queue for 20 minutes, all houses sold except several that were on timers.
Demand was woefully underestimated here, not to mention this is the absolute worst housing system in MMOs

MY FC has been trying for a house for months. It wouldn't be such a big deal if FC advancement wasn't so dependent on having a house with a workshop.

I logged in immediately the servers went up.
200 in the queue before me.
I got in pretty fast.
Game loaded me up in MIST where I could look at the wards etc.
I got to Ward 22.
Totally empty. No players. No bought plots. I could have bought the whole ward lol.
When I got to the plot that I wanted it said 'housing action locked'.
And stayed like that.
And stayed like that.
And stayed like that as other players arrived.
And stayed like that as another player arrived and told me he had already bought it.
And stayed like that as other plots around me were bought.
And then the guy who said he had bought it, his FC materialised on the plot as a relocation.
I had nothing tell me it was bought - it appeared unsought until his FC magically appeared.
There is something that is not right here, surely?
Not only is this housing system flawed I believe it also to be rigged somehow.
I am on a console. I suspect that those using PC etc have a faster experience and therefore get ahead of players on console etc. And that is just plain WRONG.

They said when they added the wards it was a temporary measure until they got their additional servers to the US and EU data centers, so they clearly intent to add a greater amount in the near future, not to mention the Ishgard housing zone coming online next year.

As someone who has been playing this game for a very long time, who has gone through these new wards opening up more times than I can count and the same things happening over and over again. No, they don't think they screwed up and no they do not care. If they did it would have been fixed by now.

Can confirm. Playing since 2013 and been trying for a Large FC plot in Lavender, Goblet, and Mist. I'm just trying to settle for personal Small , but who knows with these timers.

Something like this happened to my roommate in 5.1, or whenever the wards before today's wards were opened.
Pretty soul crushing to be there and be the 1st, click and only wait for someone to stroll il and just buy the plot because something not working right kept you from buying first :/
