Ban and refund all private houses from all housing wards. Make Housing wards only available for FCs. The lets take a random place.

Mor Dhona, add instanced apartments in Mor Dhona guaranteed housing for every player. Bam. No more housing drama. No more need for these forums to burn every time a housing decision is made.

Would anyone really be happy? No. Would anyone stop complaining? No.
But they would complain about new things from now on. Save yourselves the headache of the backlash when you implement Ishgardian housing SE. just do this instead.

What a nightmare. Totally understandable your officer made that mistake, especially when everyone rushed to grab housing as quickly as possible today.

1 plot PER account. Individuals can only own smalls. Med & Large FC only. Make Med for smaller FCs of 4 to 16, and Larges only for FCs with over 16 people. Demo timers waaaaay more agressive. Add an upkeep tax.

Honestly, this is the metric that Yoshi will be looking at. Just setting one's sub to not renew - even if you restart it before the month is off - sends a factual message to SE.

They released 720 plots, queues were in the thousands, and thousands unsubbed.

I just wanted a plot and surprise as always tons of plots claimed by bots.. So they increase price of accounts they will sell.. amazing.. Cant wait to visit some areas and see all houses locked, without any decorations and just with aetheryte.. Why they just cant make something like floating island with own plot S/M/L? It won't get any action because they would lose many more subs from all the maintenance downtime required to redo the whole housing system from scratch. And that's not assuming they'd have to remake the whole coding framework of the game from scratch which would basically be months of the game being inacessible (and no, they won't keep the game up while essentially making a new game in the background, which would then take years to finish).

The system is here to stay, band-aids are the best you can expect (and the more band-aids they introduce, the farther away a whole new housing system goes anyway) and the only way it's changing is if they decide to do another Realm Reborn or just waiting for the next MMO.

Ofc they can fix it. As long as you are ready to not having a housing system for upwards of 6 months, losing your current house and furniture, and maybe even losing access to the game for that whole period.

A small price to pay for salvation. I would even accept offline servers for a year if they fix 1.0 code. It's not like they bless us with abundance of content for last 1-2 years.
