    I clicked "Play" in the launcher at exactly 6AM. Got to main menu, "Start Game." Got a "lobby connection error" and the game exited, then the launcher was stuck on "Checking Final Fantasy XIV" for a solid 2 minutes. Finally get in and Siren's queue is 891

    Just goes to show you can do everything right and still get screwed.

    ETA: Got in at 15 past the hour and I did manage to get a small but I saw so many people scrambling to get plots.

    I got a "Lobby server encountered an error" when logging into the data centre in the first 30s. Got back in at ~1600 in queue which is now at 1005. Doubt the mediums I wanted to move to will be there, but I'm holding out a bit of faint hope still. I went into this being okay with having to keep my current small plot, because I do like its location so it won't be that big of a disappointment.

    Edit: Took 25 minutes in that queue to finally log in. All the mediums and larges were gone, although there were a handful of smalls that took about another 10 minutes to go. There are a few smalls left over in the old districts that people could move to, including the one right next to mine, but I think they're on timers for new buyers.

    800+ on excal one of my friends got in at 2 minutes after server and all medium and larges in Lavender beds where gone. Woke up early, prepped the night before and by the time you finally log in everything is gone. Square dropped the ball again
